How great would it be if that goblin is a hasty 1- or 2-drop for red? I'd really like to get another awesome red aggro creature sometime soon. Goblin Guide needs a new friend!
I just looked at the artworks again and I'm really in awe of that piece that looks like the page of a book showing the functioning of the robot arm. Notice the subject is wearing what looks to be a Skullclamp.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
This thing is so utterly broken it's not even funny.
This. I was literally just thinking "Wow that's broken". But yeah, they are all way too overpowered, especially the black, white, and green ones. The blue and red ones look tame in comparison but are still probably pushed too hard.
White - I want another spot removal. Instant speed if possible.
Green - Aggro cards. I'd prefer in the 1-2cc range
Red - A burn card that can top off the 4cc slot or a creature at the 1 cc slot again.
Black - A clever tutor or 5cc+ bomb that is rare or less.
Blue - Bounce or creature steal on a stick or legs.
Artifact - 2cc accel that doesn't come into play tapped.
Land - A series of RR,WW,GG,UU,BB for a tap and deals 1 damage to you, but comes into play tapped.
I have a feeling it will, its only a rare, WW in standard isn't really a big deal, jace still rolls face, so I would expect it to drop a little bit. if you wait until it rolls out of standard it will be a jank card for constructed.
Nah, I'll take my 2 turn clock with quadruple protection, double card draw and a bonus shock thanks.
But yours might get blocked (by one of the five creatures that can legally block it), and it would do nothing that turn (and might even possible die!).
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control no other thopters, return ~ to your hand and put 5 1/1 flying artifact thopters into play.
Seems slow but very powerful. You won't get to attack with the new Thopters until the turn after. Gut instinct says this one won't make the cut but it's a splendid card nonetheless. Thoughts?
That would have to be one hell of a CIP trigger to make Glissa play with the likes of Deed, Pulse, Putrefy and Leech.
I am not holding my breath for a suitable GB card anytime soon.
Exactly. BG has five really awesome cards. Getting a new card that's better than any of those is highly unlikely. However, I love BG and would love another card for my Savra EDH deck.
Thopter looks cool for other formats but not Cube. There are way better artifacts than it that most cubes aren't even running.

Well I still have Spiritmonger so a high quality B/G card might be able to push him out. And if we get more EDH gold cards my crappy Lyzolda deck probably needs cards a lot more than your Savra deck.:p
EDIT: And that Thopter thing looks way too slow and fragile. I wouldn't play it over Triskelion, Duplicant, Wurmcoil Engine or probably even Steel Hellkite.
Also, with out seeing the card for sure, I am thinking you have to return this as part of the resolution to get the 1/1's, so no one axing it during upkeep and still getting the tokens.

That's the problem: I already have three artifact creatures for 6 that are much better. With only Razormane Masticore at 5, if it were...
Thopter Factory 5
Artifact creature ?
Flying
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control no other thopters, return ~ to your hand and put four 1/1 flying artifact thopters into play. 4/4
... I would be intrigued. At six mana however? Pass.
Yes and yes.
The art can be found in this Arcana: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/601
yes to all of this. terese nielsen is awesome.
Agreed. She signs cards if you send them to her in a self-addressed stamped envelope too, which is nice (granted, it takes a while for them to come.)
I used to write cube articles on StarCityGames, now for GatheringMagic and podcast about cube (w/Antknee42.)

Even better is Jitte, which turns any Double Strike creature into a 2 turn clock. Seriously.

Ack I'm still falling behind from the other creatures like that.

Seriously, we need some more spoilers.

On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
Also, Glissa is a card in the set, is a gold BG card with deathtouch (3 mana 3/2, with some triggered ability when a creature dies iirc).
If that is a boneshredder/187 ability then it might make it in.

that about covers it.

Steel Hellkite has been quite good for us. That said, I think I like this new card less.
My secondary "cube".
Really out of date cube thread with pictures.

Uril, the Miststalker RGW -- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre C -- Vhati il-Dal BG -- Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer RW -- Animar, Soul of Elements URG
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker R -- Maga, Traitor to Mortals B -- Ghave, Guru of Spores BGW -- Sliver Hivelord WUBRG
that's a steep cost for a 3/3 fs and dt. If ti were 1bg then I'd be all over it.
