Yeah, it's going to cost me the same price of the deck just to get these cards, wish they all came in the same one I'm going to wait for the price to go down, since I also want to pick up an edric

Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

And they're not limited at all, on the contrary, they are printed for 3 month in contrary to normal special product like duel decks which only gets printed for one month.
My thoughts.... (I am going to try and pick at least 1 from each color)
White...
I tried and I failed.
Blue Riddlekeeper - decent wall and mill support. If I decide I want to start supporting a mill archetype this will go in. (Maybe)
Black Scythe Specter – 4/4 flyers for 6 are not good. On this other hand this guy can force discards and maybe do additional damage. (Maybe, but probably not)
Sewer Nemesis – This could be good. Most likely to come out as at least a 4/4 on turn 4 and swing for 5+ turn 5. Could help a mill theme too, but that is secondary. (Leaning toward going in)
Red Chaos Warp – A red removal spell that hits everything is very good. Could backfire, but could backfire in a good way if in a tight spot (aka: un-winnable game) This would be a good reason to add an achievement system. 50 points for targeting llanowar elf turn 2 to play terastodon off a chaos warp. ( In as soon as I find the room)
Green Scavenging Ooze – Bear that makes itself grow. Yes. Graveyard hate is a rare, but sometimes useful ability as well. (In)
Colorless Acorn Catapult – generates squirrel tokens, but not good at all. (No) Just thought I would mention something that makes squirrels.
Gold Animar, Soul of Elements – double protection, grows, and makes creatures easier to cast. (Probably in)
Not much cubeable. There is some very interesting stuff though.
Also, these probably will not go that high in price once released.
Edric is still pulling his weight and drawing cards the turn he comes into play.
Chaos warp ended up being a Vindicate with the Path to Exile clause. Well worth it as of yet, but still somewhat nerve wracking when you know you cut the library putting whatever it is on top.
On a side note:
I dig Beast Within in an aggro deck, dealing with pesky permanents like Moat, or giving an extra dude at the cost of a land for a final push. It's worked great so far.
Has anyone seen Starcity's prices for these cards?
has anyone seen starcity's prices ever? not where i go for reasonable pricing basically ever, but with preorders they are some of the worst hype offenders.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
What are people's thoughts on the Commander cards? I feel like Ruhan can easily replace Lightning Angel in my RWU wedge slot. The ooze can fill in much needed graveyard hate.
Chaos Warp and Scavenging Ooze are the big two. There's also Sewer Nemesis for another 4-drop decent size guy in black (it's also probably an ok substitute for Juzam for those who can't afford the classic guy). And finally there's Edric for those who run a large enough gold section to find room for him (I think he is the 4th or 5th best option for UG).
the card is really cool, but no evasion and no protection means i prefer the angel, who is almost guaranteed to give you value. a 7/7 for four mana is pretty crazy, but i feel like i'm more likely to deal 7+ damage with the angel than with this guy. it might be worth testing, though.
I will take 6 evasive damage over 7 non-evasive damage any day. Not to mention Angel can still block. I like the Angel much more than this dude, and it has nothing to do with my bias toward her thanks to my Standard success with her back in the day.
I mean, people don't much like Doran around here...and this guy strikes me as a worse riff on Doran in colors that have a better option.
I think the 7/7 is probably better than Angel but I don't like ether much. Sure they can chump block the 7/7 but when they have to chump block your 4 drop or die that is a pretty good spot to be in, no?
a better spot to be in is just winning because they can't block your guy. by the time this guy deals 7, angel will probably have dealt 9 or 12. and be able to block every turn.
I think Lightning Angel is a lot better than this new guy. A 7/7 for 4 mana is really cool, but at the cost of 1WUR, I want more than just a bigger Juggernaut (in fact, I think Juggernaut's probably better... he's completely colorless instead of tri-colored, and can't be blocked by walls). The Angel has evasion, haste and can attack and block. I think it's a lot more valuable. I think you're likely to get in for a lot more damage with the Angel in the long-run, and more reliably.
It is a really tough call between the Lightning Angel and the new 7/7 beater. I'm not sure which will end up in my cube. I'll probably have to give the 7/7 a whirl to see how it compares.
Good points wtwlf123. I think the vigilance, evasion, and haste will probably make Lightning Angel the better choice overall.
Another vote for Lightning Angel. For the most part, the same removal spells take out either one (the obvious exception being the red direct damage spells) and the Angel is more likely to get in and cause damage. Also, as many have pointed out, she's a consistent 4 body blocker at the same time.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
There was always the Promo version. Though I'm sure that must cost a pretty penny.
True. I should clarify; I don't run foils. So, Sol Ring is an obvious windfall as well. There are a number of others that will be in non-foil, modern-faces for the first time, but I think Sol Ting and Mother of Runes are the only ones that will make the cut.

I have never been all that impressed with Voidslime. Sure, the extra abilities are nice, but most of the time it just ends up as a harder to cast Cancel. It isn't a bad card, but I would give Edric a try instead. I hear drawing cards is good.

Prophetic Bolt, too. Unfortunately I don't think there are any others at all. I was really hoping for Upheaval or at least, I dunno... Future Sight at least!
So I slipped the Chaos Warp out of the deck I picked up Friday into the cube for a draft Friday night. It got picked and I saw it do some awesome stuff. Great response to Planeswalkers, although, red is the best color to deal with them already, so that's not surprising.
Upheaval is banned in EDH, so you were never going to get it D:
I make an EDH deck out of my cube all the time (it's how I play EDH) and one game I was playing mono blue control with clique as the general. And it was a 6 player game, and in my awesome shennanigans, I cast upheaval to pretty much win the game.

Ooze and Chaos Warp are the treats here. Ooze is rock solid. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised how much of a beating that thing is.
On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:

~$10 according to the price looker uper. Seems fair for it.
