Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

I'm not sure it's cubable. It's not hard to get it bigger than plague sliver, but it's hard to get it bigger than plague sliver by turn 4.
This is my thoughts as well. I would think that it would be ok for larger cubes that need more than Sliver, Juzam, and even Scuta, but I don't think I'd run this new guy over them. He might edge out Scuta, but I certainly wouldn't run him over Sliver or Juzam.

I might add him as a "quicksilver gargantuan memorial" spot. There are some cards that I just think are so awesome that even if they aren't good enough I'll add them in for a few months. I think he's a sweet design and passable power level so I'd really like to play with him.

Sewer Nemesis seems pretty cool. I don't think it's better than Juzam/Sliver, but it's a nice variant on those cards that will grow bigger late into the game. I may try it out.
I like the Nemesis, I could see him being targeted on yourself in certain reanimation/recursion decks and in my 650 card cube he'll replace Scuta. It is quite boring to have 3 extremely similar creatures and I always like newer creatures with unique abilities over long established creatures that everyone knows how to play.
My group and I are very excited about testing Sewer Nemesis. We actively support mill and run a couple of controversial cards that would never see play in a standard 360 cube... my guess is this guy will play a role as a counter to the miller (mostly) and as an alternate win condition for the miller.
Unless I'm missing something, Sewer Nemesis is unreasonably good. Might only come down as a 2/2 or 3/3 , but your opponent can't cast spells with either a)removing it or b)facing down a 12/12. Where's the love?
I, too, think that it will grow quite fast. And it is splashable. And looks more interesting than Plague Sliver.
Maybe we should all track how many cards are in graveyards around turn 4 and 5 and how many spells are cast from turn 4 onwards. Not to mention that this thing will be much bigger than a 5/5 if drawn later, where you can simply choose the player with the biggest graveyard.

Why would it be a 12/12?
It only mills them for one card when they play a spell, and its P/T is only a single graveyard.
So if it's a 2/2 off your opponent's graveyard and they cast a creature, you mill them once and it becomes a 3/3...
I understand that later on in the game it can be pretty big, but it'll be medium sized in the middle of the game, and be less consistent than Juzam/Sliver. Especially if cast early.
I still like the card, but I don't think it's gonna be an uber-broken creature or anything.
It's simply a matter of consistency for me. I would maybe run it in addition to, but it wouldn't replace that creature for me, because I like the ability to know my creature is always a 5/5, even if I power it out on T3.
Don't get me wrong, I like Sewer Monster from Awesometown... I'm just not ready to call him a 12/12 beatstick.
Sewer Nemesis is spectacular. It's splashable, it's huge if it comes down late, even if they cast removal on it it will cost them 10 cards AND the removal spell. That's potentially an 11 to 1 before it even attacks.

Re-read the card. It only costs them one card for every spell cast.
And milling cards from their deck does not generate card advantage. Glimpse the Unthinkable is not a 10-for-1.
I apologize my mind inserted the word "ten" after top. My mind seemed to be farting when I made that post. 11 to 1... geez how foolish and embarrassing. I still think it's a good card.
I like it too. I just didn't want you to mistakenly think that it put your opponent on a 3-spell clock for 3B. That would be insane in the cube. As it stands, he's simply a solid splashable beater that has cool interactions with Life From the Loam.
if you choose your opponent's graveyard he gets +2/+2 for each spell they cast (not until the spell resolves, though). given how good bonehoard has been i can see this guy being better than juzam, it just requires testing to be sure.

I like Sewer Nemesis and am going to test it in Phyrexian Scuta's spot. I don't think it is as good as Juzam/Sliver, but it might be better than Scuta.

Well, I think the question is how big it will be on turn 5. I think if it can reliably be a 4/4 by turn 5, it is better than Plague Sliver.
do you mean 5/5?

It's certainly not überbroken, but it comes so close to Plague Sliver in power that only testing will tell if it is better or worse.
