No, seeing how most of the enchantment destruction uses phrases like tranquil and calming, etc... I think it fits in thematically to have peace destroy enchantments.
That's true, I didn't think about that. Hull breach just seems so boring that I don't want it! lol
I wouldn't put too much stock in the name itself. The word 'ice' really has nothing to do with drawing a card.
I agree, and SoL&S doesn't fit either, but the new series of swords seems to do EXACTLY what the name says and they seem like less "generic" names, which leads me to believe they are naming them based on their effects.
It's boring, but it's powerful. I'll take Hull Breach and be happy with it. Better than some other random crap that may be more "fluffy" but be worse in the long run. Killing my opponent's Journey's and O-Rings is just fine with me.
Is the fact that this sword is in Action evidence that we are going the new Phyrexia route, and moreover that has been the plan for a while? Phyrexia has been mostly G/B and so would want a pro-red/pro-white sword for fighting the pesky Mirrans. Blue hasn't had much of an identity in this block.
I still think that Wizards will find a way to have both New Phyrexia and Mirrodin pure: it's a company that likes to have its cake and eat it whenever possible.

Except that the picture has the Mirrodin logo and the "We will endure!" slogan. I think that all the swords are on the Mirrodin side.
Hull Breach is without a doubt the most elegant set of abilities, and it wouldn't be broken at all. It's definitely generally worse than the Feast and Famine, I think.

Really? Better protections and triggers with a much bigger board impact? I think it's better than Feast/Famine in every way (if it turns out to be a Hull Breach, that is).
It's possible that the red part could be Crush instead of Shatter, since the protections are so strong. (Like L&S has strong protections and slightly weaker abilities) I also think that non-basic hate is too strong for a repeatable effect.
The white part could be anyone's guess, but Demystify is a good bet, like has been mentioned. I could also see some sort of Argivian Find / Ritual of Restoration effect, but that could be too strong. I might lean towards some sort of "tap target creature" effect, again, because the protections are so strong. Who knows though?

My apologies, children, for I am afraid I cannot save you all.
If it's Flicker + Shatter, I'll be beside myself with happiness at the new (2nd) best sword.
This seems the most likely, since flickering is a utility ability that, by itself, doesn't produce any card advantage, and shatter is card advantage, which is what the swords have done in the past. I would love those abillities.

Want to Cube but don't have one? Check the map if anyone is in your area and get cubing!
I am excited just because Sword of War and Peace will be the first full non-mana cycle in my cube and the 5th cycle overall. (The other cycles are Duals, Shocklands, Fetches, and Moxen). Cycles feel good. There is something exciting about having 'all' of something in the cube.
Good god. No Jace 1? No Chandra 1? No Ajani Goldmane? Crazy. Those three walkers are sick. Particularly Jace & Chandra. I'd run all 5 at the 360 level.

I cut baby Jace. I think he's borderline powerlevel, and I like to take any chances I can get to remove borderline PWs on principle of not wanting to many in the game. I can also see cutting Ajani, though I'm not at that point. But cutting Chandra seems crazy to me.
When my cube was 720 cards large I ran all 5 Kamigawa Dragons and all 5 commands (granted the red one probably wasn't good enough to play in either cycles even then). But now I'm down to Jace and friends in my 450 card cube.

I play Garruk, Jace and Lilianna in my 360, Ajani kind of goes in and out of the cube. I found Chandra underwhelming when I was playing her, maybe I wasn't playing her correctly or something.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
She's a fireball to a creature at a discount at the very least. Killing a titan for 5 mana is boss for red. And she enters w/ a lot of loyalty if you're using her as reach/clock.
Ya, in Fireball mode, she's a bargain. And if you can run her out empty, she's a great win con... and your opponent has to play around her being able to kill creatures as they resolve. She has a lot of loyalty for 5 mana.
Chandra Nalaar is easily one of my top five favorite cards in red. It's a card that will put me in the color if I'm not already in it, as it functions as both removal and a win-condition.
I cut baby Jace. I think he's borderline powerlevel, and I like to take any chances I can get to remove borderline PWs on principle of not wanting to many in the game.
I could see maybe cutting it because you're trying to lower the PW count, if that's what your playgroup wants. But cutting it for powerlevel makes no sense to me, because Jace Beleren is still a wonderful utility card. Great repeatable draw. It's like a blue Phyrexian Arena.
I can't remember who said it on these forums, but they put it so aptly in calling Chandra "Flametongue Planeswalker." In my experiences, she either kills two creatures and shocks the opponent, or ultimates quickly and wins the game. So much card advantage.
