This kind of deck is starting to be one of my favorite archetypes. Draw 7's + some accelaration+ some burn+ some sweepers/finishers. This deck can be annoying for your opponent as you are very active but don't do a lot. This archetype has been quite succesfull in our last couple of drafts and I am looking forward to refining it.
Strengths: It draws tons of cards (with Words of War:tongue:). It has ways to start over again. It has counters and burn. It can be very quick with all the accelaration.
Weaknesses: It can take a long time to kill your opponent. It misses answers to some cards (enchantments for one).
Cards I wish I had drafted (apart from the obvious power that is) : Upheaval, Izzet Signet (missing this can prove to crucial in how this deck rolls), Ponder (or Arcane Denial, Brainstorm), Mystical Tutor
This deck is hard to evaluate. It has so many draw 7's that it can mask the fact that it has too many three and six CC spells. It misses some of the raw power the other decks have, but can make this up by resetting the board while keeping a full hand. It is not a perfect version (my curve should be lower) , but if you haven't tried this kind of deck, go for it and enjoy yourself.;)
If people frag your mana rocks, aren't you just a really slow 6 drop deck?
I was surprised at how late the blue signets went really, given that you and Zapgaze were essentially drafting the same deck. Strategically you beat him to the punch for the red cards (I think that UR is the best flavour of the artifact deck) but you are missing about 3 mana rocks I think.
A slightly top heavy Rec/Sur deck that is missing a couple of key cards (Survival, Finks, Deed) and ways to tutor for Recurring Nightmare. Seems like a very consistent and fair deck that won't do anything much until turn 7 or so.
This deck didn't seem that good as it was being drafted, but I like the deck that has been assembled. Crucible and Mimic Vat provide unconventional but powerful card advantage engines. Probably the best controlling deck in this draft.
I find my lack of 2-drops disturbing but I can't see anything to cut for the ones left in the sideboard. I agonized over whether Ohran Viper or Wall of Blossoms is better to run maindeck and went with the Wall because of the ETB and because it's 2cc. I think I'll roll over to aggro before sideboarding.
I have been working awful shifts = I feel obnoxious all the time and haven't spent time on computer. Therefore merls build is fine. I would like to try abuse Ob with Crucible but I cant think what to cut, maybe Nekrataal? Snuff Out definitely important SB card and Meloku will work in control mirror.
Fun draft And I know my deck didn't look too good. I blame my inexperience with powered enviroment and rotisserie.
Don't sweat it. I criticize drafts and decks, not people, and always try to give solutions as opposed to just stating the obvious.

Don't forget I have two moxen and Ancient Tomb that speed up cheaper then mana rocks do if you happen to draw them with enough land. If i put in three more mana rocks, it will lower the strength of the draw 7's in my book. I will have a lot more dead draws. I do wish i had one signet and a Brainstorm/Ponder, to make the deck more consistent. But I have a strong believe in my moxen;)
Edit: Should have been 40 cards, miscounted my mana base. Removed an island.
Rantipole, I can see why you ran Uktabi Orangutan, since your deck really wants more early drops and there's a very high quality of artifacts running around. But Murderous Redcap just seems like a better card than Skinrender, and while Pithing Needle is cheap and all, doesn't Genesis give you alot of inevitability?
Maybe the last three cards should be Orangutang, Redcap and Viper?
I am with Rantipole on this one. Both the sex monkey and Pithing Needle have so many targets that they are auto includes for me. Genesis is nice, but a bit slow and Skinrender gives some extra removal.
Skinrender against Redcaps is a close call. I think the extra reach the Skinrenders removal gives does it for me.

Well, the assembled deck is MUCH better than how I thought it would be during the middle of the draft. You managed to get a significant number of cheap early plays, which is crucial in rotisserie (where the decks are leaning towards constructed quality).

This sums up my position nicely. Pithing Needle stops planeswalkers (which most decks are running at least one of) and utility lands (which I only have two other way of killing). Genesis is really slow; I have a lot of other recursion. I would bring Genesis in against a slow control deck, but I don't see much of that in this draft.
Skinrender vs. Redcap was a tough call. I went with Skinrender because it can kill something bigger on the turn it comes out and it shrinks stuff that's too big to kill. I'd probably brind Recap in vs. fast aggro with small creatures.
