I'd play that card in a heartbeat. For all intents and purposes it's a Sphinx of Jwar Isle with multiple bonuses. Yes, it can be killed by Shriekmaw, bounced by Man-O-War, and tapped by Icy Manipulator, but most of the time it will essentially have shroud. Giving it trample would make it feel very much like Simic Sky Swallower, and giving it firebreathing would push it even higher on the power-level curve. It's true that there are a ton of good six-drops being printed which makes space a concern. Nevertheless, I feel certain exceptions could be made when a truly awesome card is printed.
That being said, this a theoretical card that isn't actually being printed so in the end this doesn't really matter.
I really hope the titans aren't back for M12. That means that at least 11 out of 15 mythics are being reprints (Baneslayer, titans, PW's).
During the M11 spoiler season (or right afterward) there was an article by Mark Rosewater that discussed the very slim margin that Lightning Bolt and Baneslayer Angel squeaked into the set by. My bet is that those might be on their way out.
I'm really hoping for a cycle of legendary creatures in M12 as the other 5 mythics. The last 4 mythics in M11 were kind of lackluster. And because Platinum Angel broke the cycle, red got the shaft. Plus, that would be a cool way to use the lampshading of the FtV set and segue into Innistrad.

agreed. it's beyond the average power level of red creatures at that size and has a strong off color ability. i'd run it over crater hellion if it came down to one or the other, but i'd also run it over a number of other cards in my red section. i think it would be pretty nuts to exclude that guy.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Are we talking about a fatty with as many abilities as Akroma? That would rule.
Primeval Force 3GGGG
Creature - Elemental
Trample.
Primeval Force cannot be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.
During your upkeep, put a green 3/3 beast token with haste onto the battlefield.
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, gain 1 life.
Green spells cost you GG less to play.

Wouldn't that be SICK?
that card doesn't even make sense. put that into MSE to see how tiny the words in the text box are. there's no way that kind of kitchen sink design would ever be printed but i'd cube with it for sure.

It's not as bad as you think (text wise). It would probably be fine if they shortened Troll Shroud to just Shroud and ditched the 1 life ability (This ability seems like fluff anyways).
Granted I doubt I would cube with a card that had CCCC cost in it.

Although that's almost certainly too strong (given how they balanced Kodama of the North Tree by trimming two toughness in development), how about Gaea's Revenge with Trample?

My first idea was an 8/8 Haste, trample, trollshroud, that would have completely obsoleted Gaea's Revenge.
I settled on a better version of Verdant Force with some filler abilities.
They could have given Gaea's Revenge -1/-0 in exchange for trample. That would have been fair.
I'm not 100% sure, but I remember reading in a Making Magic or a Latest Developments article that they didn't want to include Baneslayer Angel in a third core set in a row.
Since I no longer play standard, I'm fine with reprinting the Titans. This will lower the prices quite a bit, making them more accessible for those that don't have them in their cube yet.
They're also mixing up the planewalkers a bit, which is nice. This only leaves the question: What will the other five mythics be? Wasn't the slogan "Gather your allies"? Maybe they print a second cycle of planewalkers?
There are two spoilers on the rumor mill right now. Tkae them with a grain of sand considering what just happened.
Gideon's Avenger
1WW
Creature - Human Soldier (R)
Whenever a Creature an Opponent controls becomes tapped, put a +1/+1 counter on Gideon's Avenger.
"The good don't sit and wait for the evil to act. They Prepare to defend. They prepare to punish"
2/2
Furyborn Hellkite
4RRR
Creature - Dragon (M)
Bloodthirst 6, Flying
"Careful. A drop of blood here means death for us all." - Kalek, mountain guide
6/6
First card seems neet, second card costs tripple colored mana and has no haste.

I've been hearing that they got leaked. Is it just because they came out sooo early? If it's true, sucks to be Wizards right now. o.O
Anyway, boring rares are boring. I wonder how Bloodthirst is going to pan out; it seems a bit too narrow to be M12's scry. Maybe they'll be doing a throwback mechanic for each color?
Gideon's Avenger is probably good enough to go in a cube, and it's also hilarious with Gideon himself. Honestly, at this point if the dragon was straight up a 12/12 flier for 4RRR I don't know how many people would run it, so I doubt that'll be too popular.

Do they even look real, It just looks like someone printed them on cardboard then tore up the corners, they didnt show the back of the card, and took bad camera angles.
And the damage they have is not from playing.
It seems like rubbing salt into the wound if anything.
Im going to ignore this, it looks like Troll Bait IMO.
Yeah I'm not aware of test prints or anything that have square corners like the dragon does so they seem really weird. Also bloodthirst in a core set, color me doubtful.
The good news is I don't care if they're real or fake because they look bad for cube.
I don't need another 6+ drop in red. I need another 5 drop.
I like it, but it wouldn't replace Inferno Titan or Crater Hellion (or Bogardan Hellkite) so it wouldn't make the cut.

P.S. A good black one drop would be appreciated as well.

this!
Word. I'd like a green fatty that's good at killing people, not just creeping mold on a fatty.
Are we talking about a fatty with as many abilities as Akroma? That would rule.
But yeah, the green fatties generally seem about 2 mana more expensive than their non-green counterparts.
I'd play Terastodon if it was 2 mana cheaper and only a 6/6......

you forgot the trample.
i would put that into my cube so fast i'd probably tear the card in the process.

Now that is an elephant and a half.
I, I think I would cube with that. Because the regrowth ability becomes much tamer stapled on a big body.
I reallly like that. I'd cube with it for sure. Also, if Gaea's Revenge had trample it would be possibly the best fatty ever.
Cheers,
