We are full up, and the teams are chosen! The draft will start Sunday, so each team should start trying to communicate and plan immediately. (Team Odd has at least started PMing each other...)
Team Odd:
1: Black Dove
3: sexyindiancurry
5: tomchaps (Jellytussle on MTGO)
7: Volcanon
Team Even:
2: stubobj
4: Chapman
6: magicmerl
8: "Phanfusizlius"
The spreadsheet for the draft is complete, and can be found here. (The cube list is on the second tab).
When the draft is done, I will loan the decks out on MTGO, and let people schedule their own matches as their schedules permit. Each person will play each of the four opponents in best-of-three matches, best overall record wins.
You'll have 24 hours to make your pick, then a teammate will make it for you. Post your pick here in bold and edit the spreadsheet.

Remember, the draft is rotisserie, and will be done on the forum here using a google spreadsheet over a number of days. The games will be played when the folks matched up with each other can play, with a time limit of a day or two to finish each match. That way, people will all kinds of schedules and time zones can join in.
Well, I'm in Philadelphia (EST) but as long as you can arrange a time to play with your opponent, there shouldn't be a problem. We'll not all play at the same time, but over a few days, to make sure everyone gets a chance to play. (If we get more than one Aussie, we can make sure to schedule you against each other first, too).
The draft will be forum-based, so there is no time/location issue for that part of it.
(But, not an Australian....). I can see how you'd make that mistake though. Our countries are as close together as Los Angeles and New York. Basically touching.
I would be more than happy to draft, if someone would like to play my deck. I know this is the eqivalent of letting someone else pick out a wife for you, but I have good taste in magic decks and the ladies.
Yay, I was hoping you'd poke your nose into this thread--I've enjoyed reading your critiques of other rotisserie drafts, since I know nothing of the format, and it's interesting to see the ideal draft decks come together. (Although this is my cube, I really have little idea what the ideal decks will look like... For example, how high should fixing be taken in a cube with generally bad fixing?)
I am happy to play your deck, or I can find someone else to play it when matched against me. Welcome! We only need two (and a half? Zapgaze?) more...

Sweet. To prepare, I would recommend getting your cube uploaded into a Google doc spreadsheet (separated by color, preferably). The sooner, the better, so drafters can prepare.
Just wanted to say that I really recommend teams in this format. In iceage's draft, I think it helped us end up with better decks, and IMO adds a layer of fun.

Does the lack of communication make it difficult to strategize among teams?
Well, not doing the draft at one time probably makes it harder- my team was on Skype during the draft (as was the other team). Doing the draft over a few days means that you probably couldn't get input from your team on every pick. However, you could still strategize beforehand - my team had a facebook group - and at least a little bit when the draft starts, to make sure that your plans still look reasonable.

Since I have never done a rotisserie draft before, and since this cube is a work in progress that is missing lots of important cards for classic archetypes, I fear that team drafting would add one too many layers of complication to the endeavor. It feels overwhelming enough to make a first pick out of 360 cards; the idea of having to coordinate with others is daunting.
Maybe we'll try it if this first draft goes well.
Oh, and sexyindiancurry is in, so we only need one more. I am inputting my cube into google docs now, and will post it when done.
I'm in - actually playing these makes these drafts far more interesting.
EDIT: scratch that - I don't see any way we finish draft plus matches by Christmas, and since I travel with a mac laptop, there'd be no way for me to play MTGO matches.

I'd be happy to play your deck. I'm not interested in doing these forum drafts, but playing a sweet deck on MTGO sounds good to me!

What I should have said is that I thought having teams made the draft easier (I'm comparing it to the exactly one other rotisserie draft I've done). You know that you aren't going to be cut by 4 of the drafters, and those who are less familiar with the format can get some advice.

I'm assuming you'll be lending the cards out on MTGO to play the games.

I am perfectly willing to try the team draft, if that is people want. Opinions?
We are at seven, if we do the team draft, six otherwise. I will post the spreadsheet tomorrow once I finish it.
EDIT: The spreadsheet is done! It can be found here. I still think it's easier to mouseover the cards at tappedout, but...
