Ever get that O-☺☺☺☺ moment when you realize something silly just happened in your game? yea, this thread is designed to give a little more insight regarding various different card interactions or "Combos" that really can not be found outside cube and occasionally in casual. Below are just a few that that might seem less obvious. Everyone knows about Survival of the Fittest + Squee, Goblin Nabob or things like Crucible of Worlds + Stripmine. But some interactions are not only cooler but really don't come up enough for too many to know about.

I Play crazy manabases dot combo. Still great when it works.
+
-Destroying lands every turn for 2 mana is....yea....
+
-an unorthodox way of going quickly through the deck, but is extremely effective and surprisingly good.
This is just a start with the ones I could think up off the top of my head that I have seen lately. If anyone knows some post them here.
One of the interesting thing about cube is the amount of GREAT combos it has and people know about, yet there are some broken combos that not everyone knows about. Overall the more one knows about cube combos, the better one's deck will be so I'm interested in knowing all the combos I can know.
sacrifice outlet + Reveillark + Karmic Guide + any any ETB on any creature with power 2 or less (ie: Venser, Mulldrifter, Blade Splicer, etc), gain infinite ETB
sacrifice outlet + Reveillark clone + Reveillark in play + any ETB on any creature with power 2 or less
The last time I had top + futuresite out I was so preocupied with playing all my cards that I almost forgot to kill my opponent before I decked myself.

•10/4/2004: You always resolve your normal draw before this ability because the normal draw is resolved before anything is placed on the stack.
•9/16/2007: If you choose to draw two cards, then replace one or more of those draws with some other effect, the rest of Sylvan Library's ability still happens. If you've actually drawn only one card that turn, you must choose that card and either pay 4 life or put it on top of your library. If you haven't actually drawn any cards that turn, the rest of the ability has no effect.
So if I get this straight, if you have Words of War (or other Words), you can activate the library (to the stack), replace your normal draw by paying 1 as your normal draw resolves, replace however many draws you take with library by paying 1 for each, and then place no cards back on your library and pay no life, because you can't fulfill that requirement?
Too sick. <makes a mental note to get Words of War>
Exactly, Words of War is great with Sylvan Library. It also plays nicely with draw-sevens and being a red card it is more often than not enough just to replace your normal draw with a Shock in order to win the game. So, in short, everyone should totally play Words of War!
edit: to add some value, I like Recurring Nightmare with... well, basically any creature. Let's say Bloodghast, sac Bloodghast to return something from your graveyard, then play a land and get it back.

Thank you for illustrating exactly why I started this thread. It gives people ideas for their own cubes.
Re: bloodghast etc, I wanted to target the subtle, more elusive interactions such as the Words of War/ Sylvan Library interaction. Those nearly always come from specific rules changes and such. Lets try and mention as many of those as we can before going to the more obvious ones.

It works to remove cards in their hands permanently because the leave play trigger resolves before the come into play trigger.
I just realized a card I have to add to my cube!
now think about it with one of these:
besides just flashing things in its kind of awesome. Makes me want to put Academy Rector and Yawgmoth's Bargain back in the cube.
Cheers.
I've mentioned it before but from when my cube was really janky, I won a few games with Kher Keep and Confusion in the Ranks. Trading Kobolds for the best creatures on the board is hilarious.

It's my understanding that you need to replace ALL draws ( so you have to pay 3 to deal 6 dmg ) in order to not take any damage from Sylvan Library. The library knows when you've drawn, and if you have, you'll need to return something back or take the 4 damage from it.
In short:
Replace all 3 draws: Good
Replace 1 or 2 draws: Put back the cards that you drew or you're taking 4 damage for each one you dont return.
Cards like Rec. Nightmare and Erratic Portal ought not be eligible. They're just awesome cards. It's cards that do something particularly special in combination that we ought to highlight.

Is this not correct?
You could draw 1 of 'em, and pay 2 to deal 4 damage without paying any life.
It lets you draw 2 extra cards first. All the text after that is replaced with the Words of War text and is irrelevant.
Normally, the Library would "remember" how many cards you haven't put back yet, and you'd have to pay the life. But Words of War says: each time you draw, you may instead..." which circumvents all the drawbacks after the card is drawn.
It's the same reason you can use Sylvan Library and Abundance to draw 3 cards per turn (and choose land/non-land each time) without paying any life. ( btw) Abundance also replaces the post draw text on Library with its own text.

I agree for the most part, I figure since everyone is having fun with this atm its not worth restricting. Recurring Nightmare + Palinchron is still a tricky interaction. And surprisingly not everyone knows this one yet. That being said, the more obscure ones are cooler. So....who has the coolest one?

Fun times, though it didn't win me the game because I got Balanced. Jitte won the game some turns later for me.

The only 'infinite' combo in my cube. The cards see plenty of play on their own and it's great when they show up in the same deck.
