Well I *finished* my foil basic lands (I accidnetly ordered 20 swamps instead of 21, so I'm one shy. If you have a M11 swamp 239 contact me). It was my MTG goal of the year to finish doing this. So it's nice to have it done pre march. I guess I'll work on foiling out my fetch lands or something now.

Since I've only Winstoned my cube, I don't really know how much land is typical for a 450 cube. I'm about to buy some full-art Zen land--how many would I need?
56x of each color
40x Multicolor
40x Artifact
40x Non-basic land
How many of each basic land should I have sleeved?

Have you bought them yet, or are you looking for them? Either way we will need pictures of all your pretty lands.
After I went from my (mostly) real cube to my proxy cube it didn't make sense to use my foil basics. So I switched to the unlimited basics I had gathered for a common cube that I never finished building. I have to say I absolutley love them. My entire cube is black bordered and all the basics are white bordered, It takes like 20 seconds to sort out your basic lands at the end of a draft. There is no way I'm going back now.

My goal is to play 18 beta (6 of each) and 12 unhinged in each color. Right now I'm playing revised, unglued and zendikar as well and slowly phasing them out.
I love the art on 7th lands, but I would never run them in my cube unless I could get them in foil. I despise white borders, especially on something so plentiful as lands.

So I'm just about "done" with my first Cube and I realized that I still have to fill out the land. And well... you got to have matching art on your land right?
The lands I got look something like this:
A few things about my lands:
English
Non-Foil
Not Signed
Not Altered
All from a matching set.
And I wouldn't have them any other way. I have zero interest in "pimping."
(What can I say? I'm a purist.)
I ended up spending $33 on additional Invasion lands I didn't have, just to get a matching set. Who knew Invasion lands cost $1.00-$1.30 each these days? Revised lands used to be my favorites for the longest time until Invasion was released. And I actually prefer the huge mana symbols over the old text. I know some people don't.
(I assume 20x per basic is pretty standard for a 360 Cube? Because that's how many I got.)
What lands do you use for your Cube? Foreign? Foil? Signed? Altered? Mix-matched sets? Unglued? Unhinged? Full card art? Promo?
Yeah, that's a fun pimp touch I'd thought of as well. Couldn't bring myself to drop the cash on such sillyness yet though as it's exactly the same as the CE mountain except for the expansion symbol. Quite subtle for €25-30. It sure is pimp though, love the AN expansion symbol.
EDIT - lol, some guy on MKM is selling a lot of 300 AN mountains. He wants €10k for it.
We play all CE basics, all art versions. Personally, I don't see why all lands of the same type should have matching art.
I guess it's just a personal preference, but there is actually a game play reason:
Let's say someone casts Gitaxian probe and see's your Mountain. You then draw another Mountain of different art. You shuffle your hand around as you think, move to your attack, and then go to play a Mountain... but you play the new one. Your opponent now knows you top deck'd a land and currently have no new spells.
Okay, so it's something that can be fixed by proper play for a very specific scenario, but still. In theory, it can matter.
Matching art just makes it so much simpler.
edit: Or there are other odd things like, let's say your opponent is part of your regular play group and you've made some comment in the past that you only have two copies of a particular art for a Mountain. Then let's say they play something that allows them to search your library. They can then count the land in your library and add that to any in play or in your graveyard and then figure out if you have any remaining ones in your hand. Things like that. I suppose they could do the same with your total Mountain count... hm... I guess my point is that it's easier to count.

I get what you're saying... if an opponent sees a mountain with particular art, he has a little more information to go on. You're right of course, but for cubing purposes, the pleasure I get from running lots of different art is more important to me than the 1/1000 games where that makes a difference.
I presently use lands (foil if available) from all the old bordered sets from 7th, Invasions, Masques, Mirage, Odyssey, Onslaught, Tempest, Saga, each with different art.. but now I'm bored of them. I could do new bordered foils from 8th Edition and on, but that's been done too.. I liked the full art lands, but my friend did that too. But I do like using consistent art across multiple lands.
So my new attempt at a basic land overhaul is this.. 4 for each land type, for each of the 9 languages that it's available, or 20 lands each or Japanese, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian magic cards. So far I have the first 4 listed, but European language full art Zen lands are hard to come by, especially if you can't read the language.
Let me know if you guys can identify any European sites that sell Zendikar lands.. (PM me or whatever if you can help!) Thanks!
