I'm looking at potentially selling out my Cube to pay for tuition and a year abroad. The topic of dollar value of my Cube has been on my mind a lot lately, especially considering I think it could fun me taking courses in another country for two semesters. I don't want to get rid of it unless I have to, especially since it has been appreciating at a steady rate, but sometimes you have to consider the future, right? And I feel like if I sold out of Cube that would be the end of Magic for me as well...
EDIT: L33T posts
I would advise against this. At the very least, if you power is real, you can downgrade those into proxies and still enjoy playing your cube while getting probably 50% of the value of it to do what you like.
My power isn't real but the approximate value of my Cube when you account for all of the foils and other "pimp" is ~$11,500. It's sometimes scary to have that much money in a box in my closet, you know?

I hear ya. I have that much into my legacy deck, and an equal amount into my cube as well. Could you de-foil or something as a possibility?
