Love the BSG "Last Supper" pic in your sig. I miss that show. I have a signed and numbered print of that in a frame. I wonder if it is worth anything.
I have FlashForward in my NetFlix queue. I'd like to give it a try as it seems interesting. I need to replace LOST with something and Song of Ice and Fire is more than a year away.

I'm replacing LOST with books. I'm half way through Under the Dome by Stephen King and I have a few others ready to go after that. There really aren't any shows like it out there. I'm probably going to catch up on Breaking Bad soon but I want to take a little break from television for a while.

It is unfortunate that cancelled Flashforward. I love that show.
Thanks for the sign love, guys. I love me some BSG. I haven't watched the entire series yet though. I didn't catch it on TV so I'm catching up on the DVDs. I'm about to start season four.
FF had too much stuff going on. Too much boring stuff that i couldn't care less about. The premise of the show was brilliant and the pilot brought up my hopes for the show quite a bit.
But then: Insignificant characters getting too much screentime with romance plots that are just plain horrible. The scenes with that cancerguy and his Keiko could've been cut and nobody would ever miss 'em. Zero relevance to the plot. That guy that flies to Afghanistan? Same. Whenever Olivia and Lloyd were on the screen at the same time, i started zoning out because their "romance" isn't believable one bit. *sigh*
Basically, the show lacked tempo. It was too concerned with bringing on all the convoluted subplots that it didn't get to develop one of them in a decent way. They should've cut about half of the characters, then the show would've been quite a bit better, i believe. I am going to watch the shhow to it's end for completeness sake, but i won't miss it when it's gone.
When there were rumors that only one of FlashForward and V would get a new season, not both of them, i was hoping for V. I got my wish, so that's something. Now THAT show picked up some steam with the last couple of episodes and looks like it is actually going somewhere.
If you dig the premise, check out the book. Its a lot better and.
+1
Some parts of the series were a bit weird, in particular the "divine intervention" thing, but at least the prequel Caprica (that doesn't have too much to do with the original series, but is only based in the same "universe") has been surprisingly good.
Agree, Caprica was really good (and I developed a thing for Esai Morales). Did that get renewed for another season?
Calibretto, BSG is so good I wish I could forget I've seen it and watch it for the first time all over again. I keep trying to get my boyfriend to watch it but he doesn't seem that interested.
My list of shows to watch is:
Breaking Bad
Fringe
Deadwood
Treme
I feel like there are more than that.
I just finished The Prisoner, a show that fans of LOST would really like.
Also, you can never go wrong with Arrested Development. Even if you already have seen the whole series. Same with Curb Your Enthusiasm, East Bound and Down, and Extras.

A man after my own heart, although I couldn't get into the Prisoner and gave up on Fringe when I felt like I was watching too many shows. Also, at the time no one was watching it so it was a bit boring. Of course, now everyone is watching and I'm like "Where were you all last year?"
Two of my all time favorite shows are Freaks and Geeks and Six Feet Under. Man, all the best stuff is on HBO. I have to finish The Wire and Rome sometime.
BK: I felt the same way about BSG. It has one of the most boring pilots I've ever seen. But I stuck with it because of all the hype from my friends and its one of the best shows I've ever watched. Even my girlfriend stuck with it.
I've heard great things about Fringe, Dexter, and Breaking Bad but I've never watched them myself. You might check out Supernatural or Smallville. Freaks and Geeks was also an amazing show as rant pointed out. Oh and True Blood! So awesome.
does anyone else watch "Deadliest Warrior"? That show is the ☺☺☺☺.
I've seen some episodes, and I loved seeing all the awesome weapons from back in the day. The last episode I saw had this 2 foot long throwing knife thing with like 3 blades. It was friggin scary looking. I'll take being attacked with a machine gun over that any day.
I dont think there was ever a Pirates Vs Ninjas episode, though. That needs to happen.
What about Naruto? Have anyone watched that? I've watched all episodes including the fillers between Naruto and Naruto Shipuuden. (I have about 10 episodes saved for my next session though).
Other Anime's with my grades:
Monster (10/10) - Watch this. It's the best anime I've ever seen. Slow beginning, but very cool story.
Death Note (7/10)
Samurai 7 (6/10)
Naruto (10/10)
Cowboy Bebop (8/10) Was cancelled unfortunatly
Mushishi (10/10) Very chilled
Full Metal Alchemist (9/10)
Samurai Champloo (8/10)
Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal (7/10)
Renaissance (movie) (6/10)
D Gray Man (5/10)
The Twelve Kingdoms (45) (8/10)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (26) (8/10) - Very bad ending (ending is 1/10)
Elfen Lied (12) (8/10)
Ninja Scroll (movie) (9/10)
Ninja Scroll (13) (8/10) - The coolest intromelody ever.
Kiki's Travelling Service (film) (5/10) For children

Ack! I knew I forgot a show. The Wire is on the list too.
edit - Naruto (the show) is ok, but the manga is 100x better. Cursing, blood, and no boring and unimportant side plots. Also, the anime is waaaaay behind on the storyline. Also, Cowboy Bepop ended leaving you wanting more (like Firefly) which I would rather have than it going on forever and ☺☺☺☺ting the bed (like Heroes).
If you liked Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. You should check out Ponyo. Its the same director and its an adorable kids movie. Great voice acting, too. The Pixar people always work on the american dubs and they come out amazing with voices that really work for the characters.
I can't believe you didn't list Vampire Hunter D or Record of Lodoss War on that list of anime, bonda. I'm not a huge anime fan, but those are definitely two of my faves.

Record of Lodoss War was amazing. I've only watched the English dubbed VHS series though. I've seen a DVD of it around, but I'm not sure that's the same thing I watched.
@eidolon: I don't play T2, but that deck looks nutty.
Oh, how could I forget True Blood? It's a little trashy but oh so fun. One of the funniest shows ever is The Office (British and American--both are awesome in different ways). Of course, the place I work is a lot like the show, so I might be biased.
Never got into anime, but Vampire Hunter D looks cool. I love the Miyazaki (sp?) movies, but I haven't seen Ponyo yet. Spirited Away was so good! I love that Neil Gaiman did the English dialoque for Princess Monoke. Neil=God (or at least an avatar thereof). I wish could curl up on the couch with some coffee and The Sandman trades. Sigh.
I like Dexter, but I've only seen the first and second seasons. It's good, but I'm not sure I'll watch 3rd season.
I like The Office but I could never get into the British version. Mostly because I don't speak British and had a really hard time following what the hell was going on. Thick British accents confuse me everytime.

I had the same problem. I also found that the British set was very cluttered and had poor lighting, which was distracting. The pace of the show was also much slower, so I got bored. I tried to watch it on AS three or four times but could never make it through an episode.
As for anime, I loved FMA, Death Note, and Eureka 7. I watch Naruto and Bleach, and like them, but the fillers are just ridiculous sometimes.
I love both versions of The Office. I'm also a fan of Scrubs.
HBO series are gold. Band of Brothers, Deadwood and Rome are all incredible shows. Those are probably the three best things ever put on television in my opinion.
The John Adams miniseries was great too.
Even if you've read Berserk as a Manga, the Anime is still great, and I recommend watching it.
And I highly recommend Gilgamesh too. Such a unique and surprising story. I was stunned by how beautifully illustrated and enthralling that show/story was. Came out of left-field.
Also, Ghost in the Shell movie and series are both great (well, at least the 1st movie and the 1st season were). And Hellsing is sweet!
For those that have watched the entire BSG series (the new one of course) is it worth a blind-buy? I've heard nothing but good things, but the series isn't cheap, and I don't want to be let down.
Also, is anyone interested in buying the complete series of Star Trek: The Next Generation? I've got all 7 individual silver-series seasons still factory sealed... and up for grabs. PM me if interested.

I think it is, but I can see why you'd be hesitant. Maybe you could Netflix the first season to give it a trial run.
I'd love to own the Next Gen series but my cash reserves are low right now. I spent lots of money on cards and Roger Waters tickets recently (he's doing the entirety of The Wall live!).

If I was going to die tomorrow, unless I was to choose one show to watch the rest of my life in order to sustain myself, it would be Dexter.
Dexter is one of the best box off channel shows I've ever seen since Oz on HBO.
The only show that can come close to it, is Burn Notice.
