I'm not sure if there already is a thread for this, and if there is, I didn't see it.
Anyways, I was wondering what sleeves people use for their cubes, and how they store the large stack of cards? I am asking this because I am currently building a cube, but am unsure as to how people lug it around and sleeve it.
I use Ultra pro's with the Magic card back design on them. I have just started putting KMC perfect fit sleeves inside.
I just use a regular 2-row cardboard card box to store it and tokens and counters/dice in.
We use KMC gunmetal gray sleeves. So far they've held up rather well, with only a few blowouts. The biggest complaint I'd have with them is that the tops tend to get a little 'wavy'. They're hard to keep straight after playing with them a few times. And also they tend to show lots of dirt and grime after large amounts of play. That has nothing to do with the sleeves themselves, though, just the color. We store our cube in a typical two row card box similar to the one that Pringlesman posted a pic of.
Using the sleeves with a Magic card back (to enhance the feeling of drafting).
All cards are double sleeved using KMC Perfect Fits.
I use 5 boxes from fatpacks to store everything including basics and tokens.

I use the white KMC sleeves, and they are perfect imo.
I use an old Warhammer Battle Magic box set to store the cards. It perfectly fits three rows of 500 cards each.
I use KMC super blacks w/ perfect fits. I previously had dragon shields but I got a few bad batches and my sleeves were different lengths, effectively causing certain colors/types to clump when shuffled. I bought one of the Ultra Pro boxes http://www.abugames.com/item174554-new/0/70-magic/Storage-Box---Ultra-Pro---Planeswalker---700ct.html that fits my 600 card cube nicely (without too much wiggle room). I have a separate standard white box for basics.
i used old school lava red ultra pros (yes, the ones from 1995, with the Jester on the box). I keep my cards in an overpriced ROOK White Endura Deluxe case. It is nice, since it is easy to carry and sturdy.

Do you have an image of the inside of that case? It's certainly overpriced, but it's also very very sweet. I'd like to see the inside of it, however, before making a purchase decision.
I use MTG White Ulta-Pro sleeves. I currently have 95% of my Cube in a standard 660-card box. I desperately need to upgrade, but have been lazy about it since spending a small fortune trying to finish off the Cube itself.

I had one and I'm pretty sure they are designed to hold deck boxes not cards. The dividers between the rows are not flush in the front and back. Don't think this damaged any of my cards but did scare me plenty. Also the big one is unreal heavy, adds a ton of weight to your cube.

it realyl does not hold deck boxes that well to be honest.
i have those $1 Ultra Pro Boxes and they *barely* fit.
it says 1500 sleeved cards (as one of their selling pts), so. yeah.
it holds my stuff fine. it is a bit heavier but with the suitcase type handle, i dont see it as that big of a deal. Still lighther than carrying poker chips around.
I would suffice to say that short of a large human body, anything is lighter than carrying poker chips by a single handle. My wife put a wrapped set of poker chips on my lap for Christmas a couple years back, and my initial quote was, "What'd you get me? A brick-laying set??"

I just invested in 1000 KMC perfect fit so i can double sleeve my cube and use KMC Super.
Did you find somewhere in the UK that sells the perfect fit KMCs? I have been considering an upgrade to these for some time but not found a seller where I wouldn't have to pay for overseas shipping.
At the moment I use Black SuperPro sleeves, and store my cube in a box that used to contain a bottle of 30 year-old Pedro Ximinez; a perfect fit for my 550 card cube plus lands.

I would opt for Dragonshield Blacks or dark colors...I'm not sold on casing with white sleeves. Whites get dirty quickly in my experiences.
KMC (japs) is also a quality brand. I refuse to run off UltraPro.

It is designed for Rook's metal boxes which are noticeably smaller than the ultra pros I think you're talking about.
Who knows I bought mine a year or so ago at a local store. Might be marketed differently or new design now.

When my cube was 720 cards I stored it in this.
the second white box had all my basic lands in it. Now I store my 360 card cube in that.
I got bored one night so I drew this on the lid.

Tokens and the like go in those flimsy clear plastic sleeves that are about £10 for 1000.
I store all my Cube cards in a nice rigid fabric-covered card box that I bought from IKEA.

It seems like 500+ cards sleeved takes up enough room... wouldn't it be huge if it was double-sleeved?

Please do, I'm extremely curious as in my advanced age, I've gotten really anal about stuff that I didn't care about 10 years ago (1. Protecting cards to the Nth degree /bulletproof/stainless steel case would be sufficient> and 2. Taking pictures of my Cube not so much for the Forum, but for insurance reasons). Granted both are smart, and should be Cube Industry Standard, but like I said, 10 years ago I wouldn't have cared.
I'm all about that case though, it's good looking, and probably anywhere between 5 and 174 times more reliable than my current cardboard box.
