from what i have heard, there has been a rather noticeable difference in the quality (/quality control) of the new (100 ct) sleeves vs. the 80 ct sleeves.
i know the quality of the KMC 100's, i am bit fearful of getting the KMC 80's.
yeah i can get a box of kmc matte 80's (10x packs of 80, so 800) for 45 shipped.
i also need like 1100 sleeves, so i still need to get a few more packages if i get that. I rather just get 11x packs of 100 and call it a day.
Well - i've ordered 800 Super Green KMC recently. I've combined them with a couple of 100-packs I had. I can't make the difference. There was however 1 sleeve too few in one of the packs.

good to know!
maybe i will take the plunge.
grr gonna have to drop like 50USD + 30 USD for the KMC Sleeves + perfects.
grr
I'm in the final stages of foiling my cube. As many of you are aware it's pauper cube. While there's only a handful of kinda valuable cards (N/M foil USL Rancor, N/M Alpha Prodigal Sorcerer and Terror, etc...) would the benefits of KMC+Perfect Fits outweight the cost?
I use the cube weekly and shuffle pretty hard. I have the very cheap Ultra-Pro sleeves and they are splitting on the bottom constantly. I need to upgrade my sleeves sooner or later (probably sooner) but if I need to do it I want to do it right this second time around.
Yes. A thousand times yes. They lured me in with Ivory Tower and Zuran Orb, and I kept telling myself "I can quit whenever I want...just look at that untapped disk". That was ten years ago man.....

Your thoughts?
hmm, i would, but cost would not be an issue for me.
if ur gonna get ore pricey Uncommon/Commons in the future, it's gonna be worht it, IMHO.
For those that use them, KMC sleeves + KMC perfects are the way to go? Do you put the cards in the perfects upside-down and then put them into the sleeves that way? (It doesn't seem worth double-sleeving unless you have them in the perfects upside-down, to protect the tops of the cards?)

from what i know, that would be correct metholdology for double-sleeving.

I think pringles sent a link to someone showing you how to do it correctly. (not that this is hard to do, lol)

Apologies if my comment was incorrect, but i really thought that Wtf expressed the way it should be done.
Maybe it should of been: Upside down and then rightside uP? haha
I just dropped some dough on 800 Black Dragonshield and the 750 sleeved card rook case. Can't wait till they get here. Does anyone know if the perfect fits work with the Dragonshields?
The only thing I will say about Perfect Fits as a disclaimer to those wanting to use them is that they will produce an air pocket in your sleeves, but not to fret it will work its way out after some use. You can also expedite the process by working it out yourself with some patience.
Altarus: The perfect fits will work with Dragonshields, yes, but they won't be as snug as KMC. I hope the Dshields work out for you better than they did for me. I too bought like 700 (brown) but when they came in, they were different lengths from box to box, with a max deviation of just over 1/8". As a result, the cube would have a tendency to develop clumps after shuffling. It got so bad that I had to replace them with KMCs which are always cut to precisely the same length. My incident aside, Dragonshields are far and a way the superior sleeve imo.

Yah, I'm really hoping my Dragonshield aren't cut wierd like that. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to my cube (IMO you'd have to be crazy NOT to be if you have a couple grand invested in it) so something like that would make me crazy. I feel like having it double sleeved would make the cards feel really clunky.. Is it really noticeable that the cards are larger and does the double sleeving make the art/foil hard to see?
No, perfect fits do not make the sleeves noticeably larger, you don't really even notice that they are there to be honest. In fact, the basic lands I use are not double sleeved and you can't feel the difference by touch between them and any other card. As far as foils are concerned, I don't run any in my cube so I can't tell you for sure, but as far as I can tell the art is in no way detracted from.
Even if they are slightly off, it's not a big deal. The sleeves are slightly off in my modern cube, but it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Make sure to open up every box of shields and shuffle 'em together before sleeving. This will eliminate any sleeve sizing/cuts from being an issue.
Good call wtwlf, hopefully I'll be able to post pics of my cube within the next couple of weeks. I'm coming home to so many goodies ^^

-Zendikar Case

I'm gonna go have a seizure, I'll be back tomorrow.
When you get your Rook case in would you be able/willing to take some pics of the inside and post them? I've been interested in ordering one myself but I was holding off in case the dividers were all wacky or something.

If you get the 1000 count one (720 sleeved) than there's only one "divider" inside. It's a metal partition that is installed longways to separate it into two 360 sleeved-card long-boxes.

Yah man for sure. It'll be about 2 1/2 weeks though... As far as the dividers go, wtwlf is right. Mine just has one going down the center (metal) that divides it into two 360 sleeved card rows or 500 unsleeved card rows. Does anyone who has the case know if the divider is fitted tightly into the case (as in "sealed" at the end of the divider) so cards don't mix into the different sections?

Ya, the divider between the two sections is built-in to the case. You can't adjust it at all. However, you don't really need to, because dividing it into the two 360 (or 500) card halves is the best way to go anyways.
I have the Rook Endura Deluxe case, which holds 1500 sleeved cards. It is divided into four sections, but there is a small gap at the ends of the built-in dividers, which, unfortunately, allows cards to slip between sections. I solved this problem by putting my cards into deck boxes and then into the case, which fits nicely and is also a good way to organize things like token cards, basic lands, and even casual decks. If I could go back and do it again, I'd probably just purchase the 750-size one and not have to deal with the extra bulk or the funky dividers.

It's not the correct methodology, or it's not that hard to do? You didn't specify what part of his post you were referring to.
