I go through this every time this task comes up, but I just can't figure out how to get some quality pictures that are glare free. I've built a small DIY photo studio box to try and disperse the light, but it's not really helping. I'd love some people who photograph their cube more regularly to chime in and break down how they do it. A video would absolutely amazing as well if you have the time to post one on youtube, as I'm a very visual person. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has trouble with this, so once we have some good ideas/methods posted, I'll transfer them to the OP so its easy for others to use.
If you like my photos, they're done with all natural light. They're not great, but having a good camera helps. If I was taking those same pictures with a point-and-shoot, I'm sure they'd turn out pretty crummy.
When I take pictures of my cube I use a flash, take the pictures at an angle. And I take the picures in the pitch black. THat is the best I've been able to figure out to get rid of the reflective light of the sleeves. And then take like four pictures of every shoot and try to choose the best one.

I do the same as Pringles, but with some indirect lighting to avoid glare. However, to really capture the foil shine you just have to take a bunch of pictures sometimes at slightly different angle to try to play the flash off the cards.
