Glen Elendra Archmage has to be it. It can lock people out of games sometimes, has synergies with the already picked cards, and Flickerwisp & Imperial Recruiter are more likely to come around.
Wall of Roots is a decent card in this deck if it comes around and your mana is good enough. The early play & ramp potential are great with Reveillark & friends.
I first wanted the Flickerwisp, but I have to stick with Imperial Recruiter. Every card you want to bring back with the Lark is targetable by the Recruiter. I say Imperial Recruiter.

Glen Elendra Archmage because it combines nicely with our existing picks. We need to keep an eye on our curve...
Our curve's OK. We have a 3 drop, a 4 drop--if we go with Archmage--and a 5 drop. With that spread, it's a little early to be too concerned. With our picks, we are heading toward a midrange deck so we can be a little less fussy with our mana curve than in aggro.
I don't see any reason not to take Imperial Recruiter. Since we are in the 'lark plan, we will pick targets. Not mentionning it tutor already our metamorph.
Obviously, playing either the recruiter or archmage before Reveillark is good. They both have their issues with getting put into the graveyard after we play them, but one of them gives us a lot more options.
Glen Elendra Archmage is good and protects our stuff, but we're leaning towards a recursive, midrangey deck. Having our opponent remove or attack through our creatures isn't a huge problem for us, since they'll (ideally) come back later. In my opinion, bringing Imperial Recrutier back and being able to tutor a second silver bullet is stronger than recurring two more Negates after our opponent is probably running out of cards.
Flickerwisp and Imperial Recruiter both synergize very well with what we are going with. I think Imperal Recruiter edges into the pick on a bit more power. It digs for utility.
Imperial Recruiter is the pick here. Too much combo potential. Works great with our first two picks, and tutors for many of our potential win conditions (Kiki-Jiki, Kalonian Hydra, numerous clones, and many ETB effects).
It synergizes incredibly well with our first two picks, we can get it back with lark and get a counter and double-clone with the metamorph, not to mention the combo potential with cloning reveillark and then using metamorph to get itself back and get archmage back! I think how well the archmage works with our existing picks makes it better than flickerwisp and recruiter (flickerwisp is more comboy but less powerful, whereas recruiter helps us assemble combos but doesn't do much else)
Glen Elendra Archmage is definitely the pick here. I love getting persist/undying guys with Metamorph plus Revillark will be really strong with both of these two cards. Not sure where we'll end up...maybe U/W tempo or splashing one our early picks but either way we're off to a good start.
Imperial Recruiter. Tutoring for whatever your creatures have to offer is strong ande synergetic. Especially if you have Metamorph which often has the same value as the best card on the board.
It is Flickerwisp vs Glen Elendra Archmage for me.
- Flickerwisp is great and on colour but I think
- Glen Elendra is a great target, is a little bit ahead in powerlevel and strong enough on her own that we can move a bit in blue - so that's my pick: Glen Elendra Archmage
- Recruiter is nice, but it is off colour and I want to get the premium Lark targets first before I get a supporting search engine.
1) Archmage is just as off-color as recruiter.
2) Recruiter is both a 'lark target and a tutor for the best 'lark target in your deck.
Finally, red also has a 'power 2' sub-theme, so seems like a better fit for lark combos than blue -> Kiki-Jiki, Siege-Gang...
For me it's definitely between Glen Elendra Archmage and Imperial Recruiter. The question is more of where I'd like the deck to go in my opinion. I've built a lot of midrange/controlling Lark variants using U/W before, but I'd like to experiment with the WR build this time around. I think the power level is close enough with both that either is a solid option.
Archmage and Recruiter both combo pretty well with lark, but I think Glen Elandra Archmage is better when we don't draw lark and is just a more powerful card overall.

When you don't draw lark, Imperial Tutor gets it.
The reason I would put the Archmage over the tutor is that the tutor goes in fewer decks and spends your time inefficiently. Imperial Tutor might wheel.

I think you need to re-read Imperial Recruiter. I agree with the rest of what you said, though.

Works with Lark and stay in 1 color for now and see where that takes us. Too much blue in here to fight over blue.

Oh, craps, you're right. I was thinking Reveillark was a 2/2 for some stupid reason. Or maybe something to do with Body Double.
