The visions looks sexy, but I think Phantasmal Image is the way to go. I'd like it even better if we had that recruiter to fetch it, but it's still very powerful and versatile dude.

If we had taken recruiter we would be moving into a 3rd color and would have to hope to find fixing later on to have a consistent deck. I am very happy with where this deck is so far and we can still prioritize powerful cards over fixing.
I take Phantasmal Image here. It synergizes well with our Lark theme and is a two drop which fits well into our curve. This pack also enforces that blue is more open to us than red making the Image the solid choice.
I would really like to take the Flooded Strand here, as I believe we may need the mana fixing later, but Phantasmal Image is one of the best blue cards in cube. I pick Phantasmal Image.
Phantasmal Image, though I'm sorry to send the Flooded Strand away. Visions is a pretty distant third for me. Wheeling Lone Missionary seems the best we can hope for.
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less." -Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass
If Strand wasn't here, this would be a no-brainer pick of Phantasmal Image. Even with the Strand, I'm picking Phantasmal Image. Missionary is a possible and very decent wheel.
Easy pick for me. Phantasmal Image, with Flooded Strand as a close second. Its very strong by itself as well as matching up well with our current synergistic goals.
Actually, even if we had took Recruiter I would still had pick Phantasmal image.
I would even say that our Phantasmal Image pick would had been better with recruiter 3rd pick. Who knows, maybe he will wheel.
I think it's clearly between Man-o'-War, Control Magic and Volcanic Island, and I think Man-o'-War is the pick for being the most interactive and having the most synergy. If Imperial Recruiter or Flooded Strand were picked, Volcanic Island would be a stronger consideration, and Control Magic is probably a stronger card, but Man-o'-War is a both good early play and a good recurring effect, and easy on the mana to boot. It's also way better in the mono-clones deck.
This if probably more personal bias than an informed pick, but I like Man-O-War here. Its a utility creature that works with Lark. I could see maybe going with one of the big white bombs here for a finisher, and won't be upset if that's what we end up doing, but Man-O-War does it for me.
I think it's between man o war and control magic here. We can get finishers later. Man o war is great with lark and our clones and control magic is a great answer for an opposing threat. So it comes down for me to whether we want a tempoey and possibly comboey utility creature or an answer. I think there are more answers than utility creatures we will want, so I go with the man o war.
Edit - I don't think we need to worry about getting a 3rd color at this point, white and blue look open for sure. If we were being cut volcanic would be higher on my list.
I have absolutely no problem splashing for a card like Volrath's Stronghold. It's utility comes later in the game, so the splash can be minor. Then, factoring in that our deck may be very creature heavy to make use of the lark interactions with strong etb creatures and this pick is easy for me. This card gives us a silver bullet against control matchups, which normally stomp midrange strategies like ours.
The other contenders are Man'o'war and Volcanic Island. Man'o'war is strong, but there are plenty of 2 power etb creatures that can come around, and we already have 3 great creatures that combo off of Lark in our first 5 picks, so its not like we are running short on targets at the moment. And fixing is always in consideration, but it just can't match the raw power of the utility land imo.
Control Magic, that card is a bomb.
I can't believe people are picking man-o-war over it, why would you want to bounce a creature when you can just steal the creature? Control Magic is sooooo much better!
Strand is a very, very close second but image's synergy with our prior picks and general power level edges it out. Visions is a distant third.
