Hey guys, looking for some advice here. I already have a regular 450 card cube built and operating, but I also have really wanted to make a block draft-sim cube so my friends and I can freely draft a block if we felt the need to do so. And now I finally decided on the block. After far too much time playing Bloodborne and Shadows over Innistrad being announced recently, I really would like to build an Innistrad Block cube. That brings it's own concerns with it. I want to make a full block cube with a 3/2/1/1 or 4/2/1/1 rarity distribution, and while I've heard triple INN draft is one of the best draft formats ever, I've also heard that AVR is one of the worst draft sets... Would going all-in on randomized packs between all 3 sets of the block balance out the terrible issues with AVR enough to be passable? That's my main concern. Would it be alright to do it that way, by just sorting all the rarities from each set together then making packs of 10 commons, 3 uncommons, and 1 rare/mythic from any set as the packs or should I keep the cards in packs together in their normal expansions and make everyone's draft packs INN-DKA-AVR like a "normal" draft?
Along with this idea, I've also considered the possibility of being able to implement the Shadows over Innistrad block cards into this cube as well. While it's very hard to gauge how well cards will synergize between the two blocks, I'm confident that they'll be able to make the new mechanics work with the old, as (in my opinion) they did well with Return to Ravnica's guilds working with old Ravnica's.
I know this is just a wall of questions, but I'm really looking for some tips or advice before I start trying to put the time and resources into building this... Is a full block cube of Innistrad reasonable? With a 4/2/1/1 split, does that make the cube just too large of a size? Is adding 4/2/1/1 of cards from SoI just completely out of the question?
Also, after reading several things online regarding Innistrad Block limited, I've decided to just cut AVR entirely and do a cube with INN and DKA. I'm in love now with the horror genre of set, and the "angels everywhere everything is ok" theme of AVR paired up with how badly it's limited is regarded prompted me to just leave it out. That does help answer a few questions, but now I'm wondering if I could get away with a 4/2/2/1 split to add in a another copy of the archetype-bolstering rares or just leave it 4/2/1/1?
Triple Innistrad is one of if not the best draft format of all time; I suggest starting there before you incorporate DKA, and AVR was generally terrible and doesn't mesh at all with the other sets, really. DKA ended up making the draft format worst because 1) it featured the best card in the block by a mile, and that card was an uncommon (Lingering Souls) and 2) you lost a 3rd pack to support the deep, deep archetypes already available in triple ISD.
You might be better remastering your own version of the block while keeping ISD basic. Black was horribly crippled in Avacyn because of the Loner mechanic, while each of the other colors did very well. The new block might give you a different story on something of a custom expansions to select the best and toss the rest.

Life is a beautiful engineer, yet a brutal scientist.
It's probably not the answer you're interested in, but I'd like to 2nd just making a 3x INN draft sim. That set is just so fantastic! I ran it back in October of last year and had a blast.
One person in my cube group does prefer INN with some of the DKA cards thrown in though. We have been talking about maybe incorporating some of the tribal lord cards in the INN sim, but it's been difficult for me to want to go through with the project.
I love block cubes, like what everyone else said keep the focus of the themes from triple ISD block and make some additions and changes using the cards from the other two sets
