Looking at making a Khans cube following the 4-2-1-1 formula for commons/uncommons/rares/mythics. Question I have isn't so much whether to include the uncommon tricolor lands, those seem necessary, but whether to put the rare fetches in at the rare slots or maybe double up on other rares since there will only be one of each fetch in the cube.
To truly capture the flavor of KTK limited, you should just replace each fetch land in your KTK cube with a folded up $20 bill in a card sleeve.
I kid! I kid!
I were building a Khans block draft sim I would still run the fetch lands not only because they were part of the set, but also because you really do need all the mana fixing you can get when you draft that format, 4-5 color morph/control decks were quite popular when I drafted KTK. The fetches will see play even if they won't be in quite as much demand as the uncommon tri-lands.

I own a 1r/2u/3c khans sim. I curated a selection of 36 rares but didn't include the fetches, due to the amount of space they would take up in lieu of other playables.
3x Khans had tri-lands, tapped duals at common, and all of the tri colored common dudes were morphers, so you could at least play them as 2/2's even if you were temporarily color screwed. I think wizards did practically everything in their power to make the set playable without the need for rare fixing.
You could also do what Fate Reforged did and insert a land into every pack.
Assuming he's doing that instead of just following his original rarity mix of 4-2-1-1 having one fixing land in every pack would actually be less total fixing in the cube (40 common lifegain lands, 10 uncommon wedge lands, 5 rare fetches) unless his cube is going to have 55 packs/825 cards or more. Following rarity and adding a land to each pack would be overkill.

Thoughts?
WUBRG Some of these decks can actually win games...WUBRG
How I know I should build a deck:

"Personally I love high-riak, low-reqars gambles. Life's best with a decent amount of riak. And f*** reqars."
