Here on the Cube section we tend to take for granted the fact that everyone has a playgroup. I wanted to offer a chance to look closer at the whole Cube Group concept and unpack it a bit.
For starters, origin stories. How'd your group get started? What keeps you coming back?
Personally, my first group was this very informal thing that happened once or twice a month at my LGS. Later I started using my cube as part of an after-school program I was leading, and that became my primary group.
Fast-forward a few years and I'm in a whole new city. Most recently I've been cubing with guys from multiple shops around the LA County region. It's actually kind of a weird, transitional period right now as I'm not sure my playgroup is gonna stick together through the summer (people are moving, changing priorities, et cetera).
Anyway, I wanted to find out what other people's experiences have been. Also, I'm curious to learn what those of you without committed playgroups have been doing. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.
