This thread is to highlight cube all-stars that aren't good enough for traditional high-power cubes.
Throughout Magic history, there have been great cards that have been dominant in limited, but failed to compete with staples of the strongest cubes.
From these cards, endless great (and cheap) cubes can can be built.
Here are some cards I've really liked from my Peasant cube earlier versions of my unpowered cube that are now outclassed that I'd still recommend as budget placeholders or for cubes that are at a slightly lower power level:
Good thread. I totally agree with both Helm of Possession and Pestilence still being great cards. There are definitely some cards on these lists that I want to try in my low power list (link in my sig). I would add these all stars from that cube to this list of stand out "casual cube" cards.
Radiant, Archangel
Mobilization
Phyrexian Ingester
Graveborn Muse
Skeletal Vampire
Grave Pact
Death Cloud
Goblin Heelcutter (surprisingly powerful for a common)
Lust for War
Devoted Druid
Phantom Centaur
Great Oak Guardian
Plated Crusher
Artisan of Kozilek
Behemoth Sledge
Magister of Worth
Assemble the Legion
I think the multicolour sections are proabaly the big winners for a casual cube like this, some guilds like azorious are stacked so fringe cards don't get a look in.
Red has a bunch of cool agro guys that don't make the cut because they aren't 2 power 1 drops. I tried sigeled salamander I liked it but it wasn't powerful enough.

Here are some of my favorites:
Helm of Possession (The secret best card ever)
Breath of Darigaaz
Treasure Hunter
Wall of Reverence
Charmbreaker Devils
World Queller
Necrologia (If you feel like Necropotence is unfair, this is absolutely the best budget alternative.)
Archaeomancer
Dominating Licid
Porphyry Nodes
Slave of Bolas
Meekstone (a draft-around delight)
Wake Thrasher
Elvish Piper
Pestilence (after over 20 years, people still don't realize how good this card is)
That's what I've got off the to of my head/cube.
What other great cards are going unplayed?

There is a ton of mid teir equipment for the casual lists

Some of the less powerful conspiracies like iterative analysis.
temur sabertooth allways looked like fun but I never gave it a shot because it didn't quite seem strong enough.
