I've been wondering, do you guys want an Off-Topic Thread available for your communities? It would give you guys a good place to host off-topic but fulfilling conversations & discussions within the community.
The main question regarding this is, do you guys want one Off-Topic Thread for both Pauper & Peasant combined, or two Off-Topic Threads, one for Pauper & one for Peasant? I'm leaning on the idea of a single thread, but I wanted to get your opinions on the matter first.
personally indifferent. i'd use it if we had it but wouldn't miss it if we didn't. one thread would probably be enough, we don't have a ton of traffic here.
A combined offtopic thread works for me, though I wouldn't be against separate ones either since the Peasant and Pauper guys seem to keep somewhat to themselves. Combined would help get us to get to know each other a little better.'
I love the off topic thread idea. I originally created the [CUBE] clan a couple of years ago because I wanted a place for my cube forum friends to be able to talk about the things that weren't necessarily cube related. As it turns out the moderation in the clan forum is completely different from the moderation in the cube forum. After a bunch of us ended up getting warnings and infractions for double posting we decided that forum wasn't as fun and disbanded the clan. My question, though, would be why do we need multiple off topic threads? We already have an off topic thread in the main forum. Why can't the pauper and peasant community just post their off topic discussions there?
The reason I'm suggesting the idea is because it seems to me that many users within the Pauper and Peasant communities feels more comfortable here than as a part of the wider Cube community. I'm not sure this is exactly indicative of a majority of the community, which is why I'm bringing up the question rather than making the thread right now. If people support the idea and think it would enrich their experience here, I would have no problems making one.

That's fair and this line of thinking is a prime example of why you make for an awesome mod. As someone who cubes in both worlds, I spend an equal amount of time in both forums. I would never think about only coming into this area. BASEDGOD just proved that as a possibility. My vote is yes on the Offtopic Thread for this forum. How separate are the Peasant/Pauper communities that they would each need their own thread?
Like others in this thread, I only hang out in the Pauper/Peasant subforum and never look at the main Cube forum. I'd definitely be up for an off-topic thread here. Combined Pauper/Peasant works.
This is the only forum I ever visit, and I do like to keep an eye on the Peasant thread for ideas/discussion/etc. I think it could be good for our little community to intermingle a bit. Both groups can get a little insular from what I've seen.
How separate are the Peasant/Pauper communities that they would each need their own thread?
Given the community opinion, I don't think separate threads will be necessary. There's always the concern that mixing Peasant and Pauper communities into one thread will be unattractive to some users, but not enough to justify separate Off-Topic threads.
