Welcome Team C. You can get get acquainted in this thread and while we wait for everyone to check in. Please also figure out who you'd like to be Team Captain and if any of you would be able/willing to be your deck's pilot. I've given your subforum a placeholder name. You may elect to rename it to any card in the cube with the same first letter if you choose.
I plan to have the first picks up tomorrow (thus allowing everyone to check in). I'll be trying to keep this moving at about a pick a day. If you're going to be away for a period of time, let your team know so that they can decide on picks in your absence without holding up the draft.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.

Hi Toms,
I've been a long time lurker in the cube forum. I've been playing magic since Judgement, and started doing limited events with the original Ravnica. I first heard of cube in 2008 and pretty much only play cube since. I built my cube days after I first tried the format. I still do go to the occasional prerelease or draft. I do usually play powered or semipowered cubes, but drafts are normally only 2-4 people.
I'd prefer not to be the pilot. Years ago I had MWS on my old crappy PC but had to wipe the system a few months ago. I could reinstall it but it is still a slow crappy PC.
I am going to be on vacation from Jan 16th to the 26th. I will check the thread on my tablet when I have WiFi but I don't know how often that will be. I sit at a computer for work so mostly just check this site from there durring the week. I'll try to make a point to log on over the weekends.
I'd love to pilot, but my only experience is MTGO, so I may not be the best choice.
I love to cube, my favorite archetypes being reanimator and unusual aggro decks with multiple wincons, like UR tempo and anything with tinker.
I usually prefer the consistency of fair decks, and have first-picked plenty of golblin guides and Jittes. However, I've also taken my share of early griselbrands and terrastadons.
I've never cubed on a team before, but I do most of my MTGO drafts with a partner. In fact, our handle is "tomnwill4ever", of which I'm the Tom half.
Of those names I like Careful Study most, then Carnophage. Not necessarily cube cards but names I like: Circular Logic, Coalition Victory, Cream of the Crop. I was originally thinking alright C so it can be Team Cube *something*, but didn't come up with anything cool. I don't really care too much what the name is.
My favorite decks are ones that abuse ETB, like blink, or birthing pod/sneak attack reanimate. My favorite card of all time is Recurring Nightmare. But I'll play anything, gotta see how the draft shapes up.
Hi, all! I'm willing to try and pilot the deck, as long as you don't mind us losing due to me making stupid misclicks. I have only tried MWS a handful of times...
I mostly cube with 2-4, as well. We should compare notes on designing a cube for a lower player count.
I tend to enjoy non-combo reanimator decks and things like counterburn, more than straight absurd monored aggro strategies. But I am open to anything!
I actually quite like Team Coalition Victory as a name.
I feel like Careful Study and Catastrophe are good for different reasons. I don't have a strong opinion, but I'm leaning toward catastrophe--that's just my sense of humor.
Apparently, I can get instant notifications with threads but only daily notifications with subforums. I'll do my best to be available, although mornings (PST) are my best availabilities.
