Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

ExpiredRascals you sir are a god-like hero.

Are we sure we had a tie for that last pick? Looked like 2-1 in favor of Impulse.
Either way, I'm not seeing a lot of strong blue here either. Makes me wonder what team D is doing. For now, the stand-out cards look like Etched Champion or Tombstalker, but I won't cast a vote for now and want to hear what the rest of you think first.
Yes, it looks like Lasse's vote was overlooked. I'm sorry that my pick was forced on you, guys...
For this pack, I see only one compelling reason in this pack to not reinforce the two themes we have going so far (being artifacts & blue), and that's the esper fixing land.
I think taking the fixing can hardly be wrong, but there's something to be said for taking a blue card just to make sure we won't be forced out of blue in pack 2. I don't think the Etched Champion would be correct here, it seems a very niche card that will probably wheel anyway.
So that would mean choosing between Careful Study & Arcane Sanctum.
My pick is Careful Study, for the following reasons:
- it's blue
- it improves the deck by card filtering (improves the odds of drawing the Shackles, if nothing else)
- it puts cards in the yard, which opens possibilities for moving into reanimator, which is compatible with artifact ramp
- we don't know what our second color will be yet, it might be red or green for all we know, which could turn the Sanctum into a dead pick.
For the wheel we have either the Sanctum (probably not), Circular Logic which is blue and works well with Careful Study, and Etched Champion which synergizes with Metalworker. I think expecting one of these last two back on the rebound is realistic.
EDIT: changing my mind, I'll add my vote to Lasse's Deranged Hermit. It's just a much better card.

If going blue im not sure if I prefer a suppar filter or counter.
Id start thinking about green, one of the green cards from P1 is gonna wheel and the two in this pack both work well in a deck with some manarocks.
In a cube that, by the looks of the first 3packs plays fairly lowpower and slow Im happy to pick up good old Deranged Hermit
This is very reasonable, and I'd be fine with this pick too. It's definitely more powerful than Careful Study (although it's not more powerful than Shackles).

I apologize for that, guys. I'll do what I can to make sure such a slip doesn't happen again.
