Quote from CrepesMost of the time when I cube, it's just me and someone else using my cube. My cube is similar to wtwlf's (for reference), but is unpowered.
It seems to me that it being a 1v1 cube shouldn't change anything, but I'm no pro at this. Does anyone else have experience with this?
Or, while we're on he topic of 1v1 cubes, does anyone think there is a better way to draft than just passing a pack back and forth?
Quote from KBHWe do snake rotisserie drafts and then make more than one deck out of what we picked up.
Quote from VolcanonAnything oppressive in normal cube pay is oppressive in 1v1. Stuff like Jace 3, any of the Swords of X and Y. Black lotus, that sort of thing.

Quote from Itsar, the Laughing Onelet me state something - the things I tell you will not be wrong. It is you who will be wrong if you try arguing with me.
Quote from TappingStones »2 player drafting is known as "winston draft" I'll let you do some research on what that is.
Quote from Crepes
I kind of agree, but at the same time, those are in almost every cube. Why are they so played if they're oppressive?
Quote from Bullywug_KingHmmmm, I had totally forgotten about Oubliette.
Quote from Pox22I have not found the swords or jitte to be oppressive at all--only if you're not packing answers. They all have such targets on them--they are either destroyed immediately upon equipping, or get a few hits in and take over the game.
With all the maindecked disenchant-effects, bounce, removal, counters, and sweepers that should be packed--they're not too hard to contain.
Quote from CrepesWinston and Solomon seem like they could be cool, thanks!
Still not sure how a rotisserie would work for a 1v1 though.
Quote from Salmo »It's just about reasonable expectations.
Quote from VolcanonThey aren't in my cube.
Jace is oppressive because a lot of the time you "just win".
The swords are oppressive because your opponent pretty much MUST hit a shatter effect or loses. If your opponent is those two colors then it's gg right then and there. This is especially so for the ones printed in scars block.
