Mishra's Workshop was good for us when we ran it. Getting out a turn 3 Razormane Masticore was fun times. It was usually an early pick in the first pack, mid-pick in the middle pack, and late pick in the last pack (unless someone already had the artifact deck).
The card is actually very good in the right deck, but that deck doesn't come together "naturally" all that often.
I would really like to run Mishra's Workshop in my cube but am not sure how to really support it or make it anything but a last pick.
How should I make sure that this card is supported in a powered 360 cube?
Instead of just dumping extra artifacts randomly into the Cube, I'd definitely go for an equipment theme. From there I'd include cards like Stoneforge Mystic, Kemba, Kha Regent, and other kor for a white theme.
So all creature heavy archetypes would be competing for equipment, but white would be competing harder.
Unless you have an artifact-themed cube, I don't see it being good enough four out of five drafts. That one time one guy drafts the artifact deck (provided you draft with 8 players so he gets to grab Workshop) will be the time it shines.
As for supporting it with an equipment theme... I can't see that working out, since everyone at the table is drafting equipment for the most part, and the artifact-heavy guy isn't exactly going to be grabbing critical mass of them.

yeah I have an academy in there already. I just have a playset of shops just gathering dust that I would like to put to some use.
There is a thin line between the card. Too much and it becomes a more explosive lotus (lotus of which I really dont like in cube). Too little and its last pick.
It's always going to be explosive. It's Workshop.
You could always sell your playset of shops and buy pretty much every other card you'd ever need for a cube.
It’s very strong, but not a staple to the artifac deck. Arguably too strong for non-powered cubes. I ran it for a while but decided to cut it for being too easy to ramp into more ramp in an Unpowered setting.
Interesting, I can see it being a little too good in unpowered. I’m trying to decide at a powered 450 level if I have a high enough density of 3+ artifacts to make full use of this. My drafters value it quite highly and they love the artifact deck, but if the card doesn’t have the proper support, I fear the fail case on it might be too high.
Necro time. Is this card a staple if you run the artifact.dec or just a spicy/sweet add-on if you have some room?
It requires a lot of artifacts, but if that artifact threshold is reached , the card is the third biggest payoff for supporting artifacts in cube (tinker, tolarian academy are better).
If you believe that the artifact.dec is a staple archetype of cube, mishras workshop should be a staple too.
That’s kind of what I figured. I think I’ve hit a good number to support this card in my 465~ list. My playgroup likes and drafts this pretty highly, so I figured it was worth the effort to support it.

seriously though, check out Kojiro's Artifact Cube, I'm sure that thing has a lot of support for Mishra's Factory, although he doesn't run it himself.

I'm always open to suggestions on how to improve my cube. Take a look and ask a question, or give a constructive critique whenever you can.

I think it would be great.

Do you already include Tolarian Academy?

Yeah, you might be right.
It also couldn't help pay for the equip cost.
