I am making a Reject Rare Cube for my play group (4-8) to use on rare occasion.
We have an awesome pauper cube for main play, so this is meant to be quite the opposite, wacky off the wall plays all the time.
I am doing about 3/4 creatures and 1/4 non-creatures in each color and mostly colorless and 5 color non-creatures.
I need a ton of odd, but fun combos to through throughout the cube. They can be game winning, but don't have to win the game out right (better if they don't easily or cheaply do that). The big thing is they need to be interchangeable pieces that can be used for multiple combos since I am not running many tutors.
All rares? That might get hard. I'll just brainstorm a few cards, someone else can crack the fetchland later:
Chandra Ablaze, Rings of Brighthearth, Magosi for acitvated ability madness
Enduring Ideal, Form of the Dragon etc. for enchantment combo deck
...
Can't think of anything else atm. The problem with these reject rares is that they are usually very, very parasitic, meaning that they need to be combined with their buddies to shine. A good example is Iname: Without the proper spirits to pull it off, he's just an overcosted beater (story of Kamigawa's life..)
Specialities about the cube: U tempo, B aggro, R slow-ish are supported. G aggro is not.
Currently trying to support tokens in all colors but blue, in different ways: W pumps them, B sacrifices them, R suicides them, G has decent-sized ones.
cube list outdated
*literal C/U definition according to gatherer
**some cards are banned. Library of Alexandria, Land Tax, Sol Ring.

I am running a Spirit theme.
But overcosted odd jank is perfect. The whole cube is a bit underwhelming and wacky.
The streamlined pauper cube rarely goes past turn 5, unless someone has control. This cube is supposed to be long and awkward.
Spirit theme = all of the terrible rares from kamigawa, I presume.
And then all of the terrible spirits that aren't from kamigawa.
You'll want card draw, and since a lot of it isn't rare, stuff like archivist works. Or his terrible Portal friends.
Lots of burn, but most of it is splashy, so weenies seem like they'd actually be nuts (savannah lions, gaddock, isamaru). Actually, gaddock seems like the craziest thing ever when the cube is full of huge terrible spells.

These cards are not exactly "reject rares".
The big red chaos cards like Scrambleverse, Warp World etc? Eon Hub, Darksteel Reactor, ... In fact, every other rare can probably be called a reject rare. I just honestly doubt that such a cube would be fun.

We tried our first draft of it last week. Groans and text and "wtf"s the whole time. And lots of laughter. It is only going to be played like every other month or so and is a nice change of pace from our super lean, mean pauper cube machine. I am trying to not emphasize combat. It is still viable, but last draft a win was almost off of charmbreaker devils and sorin's vengeance after a parallax nexus tried to lock them out of a hand with trickbind, but the other team (we did 2HG) was waiting to abuse well of lost dreams.
Edit:
Game 2 involved an early Goblin Assault that was stopped by Curse of Death's Hold and turned into massive board wipe and damage because of a later Last Laugh. Those kind of wacky things.
