This card could be pretty good. There's only a couple of things you could hit that would be "bad". Not what typical UB decks are looking for, but it's a really good card for UB aggro/tempo decks. Playing this guy and getting a free Thoughtseize or something seems pretty sweet.
This new guy is super sweet, he is a tutor for some of the best spells in your deck and his management cost makes it so you have an a good estimate of what you can get. If this real its going in for recoil

Actually, it plays pretty poorly with Profane Command.
Skipping over it looking for the next 1cmc or 0cmc spell seems sweet unlike hitting Mindtwist. One of the problems with Bloodbraid is that she hits all cube X spells (except Decree).
Another + is missing every counterspell. Hitting only the good stuff: Ponder, Preordain, Reanimate, Duress, Thoughtseize, Enclave Cryptologist, Moxen, Ancestral Recall, Sol Ring, Skullclamp, Vampiric Tutor. All those targets are so sexy.
So, you mean it's not terrible with Profane Command. It's simply indifferent to it.
I'll agree to that. I defiantly can kick out Dimir Signet for cascade bear, or trinket bear as I would rather call him. You can really consolidate your one drops to make him insane each and every time.
It's only bad with a handful of cards. Otherwise, you get a lot of value out of it all the time. And unlike BBE, cascading into a mox with your 2-drop is really good.
It will be replacing recoil as my 4th best, behind shadowmage, tezz 2, and psychatog. I don't run dimir signet in my guild section but I would consider cutting it for this guy.

Hmm. That's an interesting change. Now Alchemist's Refuge has extra incentive to perform well for us if it doesn't want to face the chopping block.
I think UG has slightly less "bad" cascades than UB. The only ones to worry about would be Berserk, Vines of Vastwood and Rancor if you don't have other creatures. But the upside of getting a "free" mana dork or 2/1 beater is stellar. Coiling Oracle is crying itself to sleep.
Worldly Tutor is still a really good target, and besides 3 power for two mana is a lot, and that's not even considering Jungle Lions.
But Jungle Lions don't typically go in my UG decks. I don't think I'd hit much in green that's not a mana dork. Which is fine, but less exciting to me than the Dimir prospect. Plus, I think the competition is heavier in UG ...I may not have room at 450 for the Simic version. Oh well.
This card is going in ASAP, if it's indeed legit (and testing it anyway, even without a pic to prove it, if anything, to burn some mental calories, but I won't be able to really test it until next week.) The hits are less good in G vs B but it still looks to provide some insane value.
I'm so glad that they can do cool things with old mechanics now without having to bring them back into a standard legal set. They never got to do a double cascade in ALR unless you had maelstrom nexus, and they couldn't do a 2 drop cascade card because there was no 1 drops in the set either. Very cool to see them finish up on some cool cascade designs. Same thing with ninjutsu. Hope the rest of the planchase/archenemy/commander decks in the future explore old mechanics.

But in case it's true, it's probably replacing Oona or Recoil as my sixth best UB card.

If we're wishing could it be UW? I don't know if UW is better, but since the UW gold cards are ass it would be a huge step up regardless.
