If that's how you play the card, than fine. But we don't play it if we can't cast Life. So it's really a B/G card for us.
So you don't play it if you are drafting a reanimator build, but need reanimate spells? You find that one extra mana on Reanimate so huge a difference? (Not saying it is not a difference, but reanimate decks need reanimate spells and 1B is still pretty fast.
IMO, Abrupt Decay is too good not to use if you have a 5th slot. It's one of the best removal spells ever printed.
Decay is undoubtably fantastic but my group really likes reanimation. What may end up happening is shifting death over to black (the rules we use for card classification are not incredibly strict).

It's the worst reanimation spell in the cube, bar none, if you don't have the option of also playing Life for G. I'll play it in reanimation decks. But I'll also be damn-sure to find a way to cast Life, because it's a great spell, and the reason why I include the card in the cube is so that I can use both.
It's the worst reanimation spell in the cube, bar none,
What is this supposed to mean? Death is one of the best options available when looking for fast (= less than four mana) reanimation. There are only four reanimation spells that cost the same or less in cube. If I support reanimator, I'd slam dunk include it in my cube, even if Death came without the Life part. Or do you think that Reanimate is the second worst reanimation spell in cube?
That said, I've seen more kills with Life than turn 2 reanimations with Death so far. I undervalued Life at first, but it is pretty good.
Vraska the Unseen is clearly more powerful than Life // Death in cube*, but the split card is a nice roleplayer and I will try to keep it in my Golgari section as long as support reanimator.
* I am pretty sure that she doesn't break into the top 2 (Pulse and Deed), but everyone who claims that she doesn't make the top 5 is seriously misjudging her.

I mean that of all the reanmation spells in the cube, it's the worst one. There are three other 2cc reanimation spells that are better. Reanimate costs half the mana and can hit both graveyards. It's not even close in power level.
Once again, I meant exactly what I said (that's the third time recently I've had to actually state that I meant what I said... strange).

Reanimate (both yards half the mana)
Animate Dead (both yards no life loss)
Dance of the Dead (both yards no life loss)
Exhume (no life loss)
Necromancy (no life loss, both yards, instant speed)
Recurring Nightmare (bananas...)
These are wtwlf123's reanimator spells. Death is worse then all of them for one reason or another. If you can't play both halfs your probably only playing it because you didn't draft enough other reanimator spells.
I think that I'm less sold on Vraska than others. I feel as if she has three modes, only one of which is sweet:
1) She is a Suspend 2 sorcery that makes 3 assassins. Only good onto a stable board.
2) She is a 5-mana vindicate that gains you some life. Not sweet, but reasonable.
3) She cacks your opponent's only creature, then survives to rebuild for additional vindicates.
Basically, mode 3 is sweet but only happens against 'one big threat' decks. I think she's primarily a card for midrange and ramp against controlling decks.
I think she's primarily a card for midrange and ramp against controlling decks.
That's exactly what she is, and exactly why she's awesome. It's a card that shores up your deck's greatest weakness while also being valuable in your other matchups.
And once again, I have to say that getting attacked down =/= gaining life. It's better than that. Unless the board is such a way that you can't force a bad attack. If you have no creatures, that's how it'll play, but that won't be the average case. Just like it isn't with other 'walkers.
What size is your cube and how many walkers do you run? How many answers to walkers? It's hard to evaluate a comment like that when there's no context to consider.
I might cut Putrefy for her, depending on other spoiled cards.
I am definitely cutting Putrefy for her. She kills enchantments and planeswalkers, too. And she may either do it again or mess with your opponent's plans a bit. And she may act as a finisher from time to time. All in all, well worth the additional 2 and sorcery speed.
I don't know guys... I can't get myself to like her... I mean she's okay, but far from Pulse, Deed, Loltroll, Signet, Leech... I might cut Putrefy for her, depending on other spoiled cards.
My question is why are you running the signet in BG? That seems like a totally wasted spot. I'd cut Signet and Putrefy for Vraska and Abrupt Decay or Life//Death. This is a pretty nutso walker.
She's been pretty decent in testing, but I think she might be the card in my #5 slot right now. The Troll is a great creature, and Decay is so freaking good. And then of course there's Pulse and Deed.
Do you have data about what kind of permanents she killed, and how often the -3 was used twice+?
Nothing concrete, because she's only resolved a handful of times. But I've seen her double-Pulse twice now, and that was only in like 4 or 5 resolutions. The other times, she went Pulse + soak, or Pulse + force bad attack that costs them a creature, and that's been great too.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
It's been good here. I'm currently running this as an 'extra' G/B card to work out what I like the best. A five mana Pulse is still a Pulse, and the extra two mana gets you a Suspended second Pulse. And surprisingly, the ultimate has actually won a game already; the card can remove threats and create an empty board to tick up and there aren't a whole lot of outs to three separate creatures, however small.
It's a good threat against control decks, and that's great for midrange to have.

So yes..I shall cube this, and we will rejoice.
I was thinking of adding her and wanted to know if it was worth picking her up, any thoughts or experiences would help.
Thanks
