I probably would have, if the flavor text didn't start with the word "He". I'm kind of hoping tavern swindler, zealous conscripts and Olivia don't see this thread...
Mana sinks are really annoying to me personally. I don't want to spend UUUUUUUU for my bomb to dominate. I want my bomb to dominate. For that reason I run
Keiga
Meloku
Rite of Replication
Big Jace
Upheaval
As my blue finishers.
I will probably cut keiga for Aetherling simply due to the power of the card, but I won't like it.
Sorry just don't get what the UUUUUUUU is referring to (which card?)
reading is tech. I've always thought both morphling and aetherling had all U activations. For that reason I never understood why morphlin was so loved.

Hahahaha that's awesome! Yeah colorless mana for the +1/-1 and -1/+1 activations. But there is some solid debate about playability for both creatures. I'm a firm believer of the Morphling, others will tell you opposite, but I wouldn't say either camp is wrong (they're wrong ). Aetherling I'm not sold on, but if it test's well I will have no problems throwing it in.
Every time someone mention Meloku as a "he", I have the urge to correct them, then remember they are actualy correct and I have such an annoying OCD. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
I've always thought of it as an it. Even though it is supposed to be a gender confused dude. Even when I was a kid playing the games I always thought it was neither female nor male, but somewhere in the middle.

I loled.
What's OCD, anyways?
I think this could the reason I subconsciously refers to many cards as "it" to prevent the trouble.

When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I'm still a fan of Keiga. He's the only solo-blue-mana-in-the-cost 6 drop that's viable. Other options like Consecrated, Frosty, and Aetherling (doesn't make the cut IMO) are UU4.
I'm currently running Keiga and Consecrated as finishers. Bribery sorta counts as the 3rd.

I mean, hell, we're all on a forum for something that most people would describe as a "children's card game"...do what makes you happy. You are never too old to enjoy yourself.

And every time someone refers to their OCD, I have the urge to suggest they might be referring to personality rather than disorder. Contrast the egodystonic thought of the former with the egosyntonic thoughts of the latter.

I'm not sure why people throw around OCD so lightly. Like even numbers? Like things clean? Like your desk ordered a certain way Must be OCD! This is roughly similar to not liking flickering lights and declaring yourself epileptic.
I assume it's Hollywood's fault, as they like to give characters quirky problems, as opposed to actual ones. Similarly, somehow going off your medication is a good thing in popular media (see: Garden State, Silver Linings Playbook).
Is Bribery essential in cube? I find that blue has so many options in the 5cc and above range that Bribery often gets left unused in the sideboards (and drafted quite late as of late). Head to head I feel that Treachery is the stronger card and Upheaval and Time Spiral do great jobs at finishing.
Also I find that the blue player ends up with the biggest creatures anyway.

Essential is a tough call, as is its power level in comparison to Treachery.
It is however, feared, fun, and usually amazing both in versatility and value. My last three grabs have been Griselbrand, Gang Bang, and Wurmcoil. I think my worst ever grab was FtK, though I think I grabbed a sex monkey out of desperation once. Either way, it's tough to compare to a finisher, because it is a finisher, a utility creature, a way of getting information, and future resource denial all wrapped up in one. I would play it before Aetherling, and I like Aetherling quite a bit.
I put Bribery in the top 20 of blue cards. It does sometimes whiff, but it's so versatile. I wouldn't classify it as a finisher; it's more like a toolbox. What do you need? Is it in your opponent's deck? Ok, it's yours now. Blue sometimes has trouble blowing up enchantments or artifacts. Bribery can help with that even if that's not it's best usage. And the times you grab a titan, Woodfall Primus, or Sky Swallower will be awesome.
For us, Bribery has been lacklustre for quite a long time. It's usually sideboard material, and in the match-ups where it's really good it's actually mostly 'win more' and anyway the steal effects are superior. It's on the chopping block for me.
This is a typical example of a card that gets worse as the cube/format it's in gets more efficient - awesome in dragon cube, solid in modern cubes for smaller play groups or less efficient drafting formats (like winston or sealed), sub-par for 8 man high efficiency drafts.
Bribery whiffs sometimes and thys aweful but averagexase scenarino you get your opponets biggest scariest creature. Which usually isapretty good finisher, as well as the toolbox natyre of green sun zenithibg an opponents library.
I've never whiffed with Bribery. Grabbing a 4-drop and knowing everything that's in your opponent's deck for 5 mana is just disgusting value. And if the creature has an ETB trigger that secures CA for you, it's even more bonkers.
You must be doing something wrong if it is sideboard material at best. There are matchups where you would want to sideboard it out but i would include it in the maindeck a majority of the time. The power level also depends on whether the cube is powered or unpowered.

Yeah me neither - I thought he was referring to Meloku at first, but I think he is talking about Aetherling/Morphling.

I should probably make an effort to get Meloku back into my cube.

Ya it should be in any cube 450 or higher. Probably in most 360 also.
