Isn't the idea of this subforum to have these type of discussions in threads for themself? This thread reminds me a lot of the old "Card Discussion" thread.
If I put them in tiers I would put Acidic Slime, Deranged Hermit, Vorapede and Genesis in tier 1. I would put Indrik Stomphowler above Wickerbough Elder in tier 2 and Thornling below them. I guess Thornling should really go in the 6-drop category but humor me here. Maybe I've forgotten how Thornling plays since it hasn't hit the board in a long time.
Thoughts?
Edit: If you would look for a different green card to cut for 475-powered then tell me to look for a cut elsewhere
Probably either the Thornling or the Vorapede, depending on which one you like the least. But I could see counting the Elder as a 4-drop, because it's fine to wait a turn with it, and you could classify Thornling as a 6+ drop, because that's really how it plays.
None of those should be on the block at 500+ though ...I run that entire suite at 360.
I'd always run both, no matter what cube size. Both are really great.
I'm not even sure which one I like better. There's something to be said for the speed that Wildspeaker can get power onto the board, but Relentless is a great toolbox card.
Hokori, Dust Drinker vs. Celestial Crusader vs. Galepowder Mage. White 4's are already super-crowded and I'm interested to see what thoughts are on this choice. I have a reasonably heavy token-theme so I originally had Crusader, but he just feels a bit weaker than Angel of Jubilation or Wilt-Leaf Liege (basically a white-card in this instance) to me most of the time. That being said, he might still be the correct call over Hokori or the Mage. Thoughts?
Hokori = Mage > Crusader. At 720, I'd run one of Hokori or Mage (Mage if you support a lot of blink stuff, Hokori if you play more aggro) but I'm not a fan o the Crusader anymore. I think it's been outclassed a few times over now.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

we used to have a sub game where you would see how many turns you could slow roll a sudden shock before winning, it was quite fun. I once made it 8 turns although after the first few times people would ***** about the slow roll and ask repetedly if you had it.

We found Horkori too easy to kill at instant speed, which can give the opponent quite an edge. For the cost of Braids, it simply has too little impact on the board.
I like Galepowder better than the Crusader, but really this choice should come down to if you want to push blink or tokens.
The fact that most casuals will never play something else than kitchen Magic make them the black matter of Magic: 90% of the universe, but undetectable except by the side effects of their presence.

Being able to kill artifacts for 1 mana doesn't make up for being a 5 mana 3/3. Keldon Vandals echo is worth the extra 2 points of power over Manic Vandal.

geistflame is splittable and castable even if pitched.
Sudden Shock can't be countered and can do some snazzy tricks with morph triggers (it can "lend" split second to them, making nantuko vigilante or bane of the living much more dangerous). Also obviously nice to deal with cards like mother of runes

The first page of my Cube list also includes my cube workbook for excel, feel free to look at and use it if you would like to.
This would be my advice. I like every card on the list better than these, especially Kodama and Harmonize.
Both Garruks in every cube. If you have to choose one, I'd probably go with Wildspeaker, but it's really, really close.
Galepowder Mage > Horkori >>> Crusader for all the reasons given by eidolon.
I can't imagine running either Geistflame or Sudden Shock. There is so much bette burn now, these two are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I would order them
Kokusho
Wurm
Sorin
But wurm and sorin are really close, and largely meta-dependent (control meta wants sorin, aggro wants wurm)
I would run Looter il-Kor

Probably Thoughtseize but I doubt that helps you.:p
We run putrid imp. The fact that it's instant speed and passably aggressive makes it a favourite.
If you are including entomb, then Buried Alive is runner up.
