Custodi Lich>GftT>>Chainer's Edict, I'm only running one edict and it's diabolical, I don't think Chainer's is very good in a lot of match ups. GftT has been overall better, and Custodi Lich is great.
Lich is also a decent reanimation target, and even a playable curve topper for fast decks. I'd say Lich > GfTT >> Chainer's Edict. Edicts in general are more sideboard cards than maindeck nowadays - many cards produce tokens, including reanimation targets. They are still needed to deal with Eldrazis, Inkwell Leviathan etc. if you play those. GfTT has been the best two mana black removal in my experience, and it is hard for me to see when I'd not want even one of those.
Thanks all. I think I'll go with Lich and just swap Chainers and GFFT back and forth until a clear winner emerges (if that even happens). Either way should be fine though.
I have another design puzzle I'd like help with. I have 1 slot in blue that is up in the air and I want some kind of draw spell. Please rank the following pool of draw spells from the perspective of each supported archetype (450 powered):
Pool:
Ancestral Vision
Treasure Cruise
Timetwister
Thirst for Knowledge
Time Spiral
Control / Tempo / Spells Matters
1. Treasure Cruise
2. Ancestral Vision
3. Thirst for Knowledge
4. Time Spiral
5. Timetwister
Artifact Ramp:
1. Thirst for Knowledge
2. Time Spiral
3. Timetwister
4. Ancestral Vision (could be switched with Timetwister, really depends on the deck)
5. Treasure Cruise
Hmm, yeah, very possibly. I ran that at 540 and was pleased with how it performed. Just spaced it out making my list of candidates!
My inclinations so far are towards: Time Spiral because that card is nuts. Crowd favorite in my group too. Thirst for Knowledge because I like instant speed and 3CMC and digs hard. 1 person at least plays the artifact deck every 8 man draft. I'm wondering how viable it is in a control deck with only 3-4 artifacts, though, primarily as a dig spell. Treasure Cruise kinda boring but seems fairly safe.

Pool:
Ancestral Vision

Thirst for Knowledge
Time Spiral
Control:
1. Thirst for Knowledge (assuming permission based control, otherwise swap with vision)
2. Ancestral Vision (improves a lot if you have discard outlets)
3. Treasure Cruise (it is a very late game card in this archetype, still playable)
4. Time Spiral
5. Timetwister
Tempo/Spells Matters -
1. Treasure Cruise (often a bomb here)
2. Ancestral Vision (much better if you have cascade, expertises and/or As Fortold)
3. Thirst for Knowledge
4. Time Spiral (a bit too expensive for these archetypes)
5. Timetwister
Artifact Ramp:
1. Thirst for Knowledge
2. Ancestral Vision
3. Time Spiral (you'll sledom have six lands and it does not untap artifacts)
4. Treasure Cruise (few instants and sorceries for delving)
5. Timetwister
Thanks to everyone who participated in my ranking survey! Here's what I took from it:
1) Thirst is possibly underrated. This is probably what I'll try since the archetypes I'm interested in giving a boost are artifact ramp and control.
2) Time Spiral is possibly overrated. Still seems super busted to me but maybe getting to 6 is a more significant hurdle than I'm willing to admit.
3) Cruise is probably the most solid choice if I were to consider all the archetypes with equal weight.
4) Timetwister hasn't aged well. Still good but competition is stiff.
I may try to find room for both Thirst and Cruise, if I feel I need another draw spell.
Again thanks for helping me think about these cards in different ways!
I like them as Deed >/= Pulse > Decay. In any case, I think those are the three best Golgari cards but I don't run Decay. I run Deathrite Shaman instead to give the guild a little variety.

Same, but since I run 4 guild cards I also run lotleth troll to help BG reanimator.

I'd probably run Life // Death first because good reanimator spells are much harder to come by than good discard outlets. But Troll is definitely solid.
Help me rank these mana rocks! I need to better support Tinker/Daretti with 2-drop rocks, so I'm adding about 4 to my 420 unpowered cube, starting with Chrome Mox. Assume I already have every rock that is obviously better than these.
Talisman of Dominance (Since you said you wanted to push artifacts, but Progress is also great)

I agree with all of this including your two inclusions. However, I think Timetwister probably plays better in a powered cube because it's easier to vomit out your hand with moxes and other fast mana.

@artbcnco: I'm a big fan of Thirst because it supports artifacts, control, and reanimate. I'd then narrow the last one down to Spiral, Twister, or Cruise at your size depending on what you want to push.
Based on your list, I would want to see another control finisher first, so Aetherling. Personally I'm about to move Phyrexian Metamorph into colorless, since its sees a decent amount of play in other decks and is rarely cast for 4. Maybe you could do that and put both in?
Aetherling is a better (arguably the best) pure dedicated draw-go control finisher. Thing in the Ice is a support card for spells matters shells. Add in whichever one you feel needs more support.

The ultimate thing to take from this is that all those cards are good and the bigger point is that 420 is a tough place to a be a blue card.
