I'm running 7 at 500 cards--the first 7 in followthereaper's post. I am probably going to add Elvish Mystic bringing my total to 8. That is likely all I'll run in the future. Like Cyno, I need to leave some room for aggro 1-drops, and I just don't think I need more than 8.
In my 550 ill probably run 12 if you include Utopia Sprawl and Wild Growth. I dont support green aggro 1-drops at all. Experiment One is about the only one i run right now. Green is much better at midrange/ ramp imo.
I don't think so. The most popular targeted land destruction is uncommon or lower (Ice Storm, Stone Rain, Molten Rain, Pillage, Avalanche Riders, Sinkhole, Wasteland). Off the top of my head, the only mass destruction spells that see enough play to put a wrinkle in Wild Growth's plan are Armaggedon/Ravages of War and Wildfire/Burning of Xinye - and Wildfire is actually worse against Growth since unlike the mana dorks, you sometimes get to keep your extra mana.
The main reason to run mana dorks over Wild Growth is that, despite the disadvantages associated with the creature type, being able to attack or block to change combat math is a huge advantage over immunity to creature removal. Although I wouldn't mind including it for an enchantress archetype to provide incidental draft value if better enchantments see the light of day.
We're currently running the first 9 of reaper's list at 435, and we support both ramp and aggro (the former more heavily than the latter). I feel this is sufficient for our playgroup's needs - it's enough to support one heavy green ramp player and still leave a couple for the other green drafters at the table.
Currently I run Noble, BoP, Llanowar, Fyndhorn, Arbor and Joragga. It is going to be difficult to find room for a third Llanowar while maintaining my green agro creatures. But I will do it.

I think it is alot better than some of the 2 mana ramp creatures in green and this is probably how I will make room for him.
Part of me wants them to eventaully complete the avacyn pilgrim, elves of deep shadow cycle then I could run a full set. (How I would make room for all of them I don't know.)
