Is it just me, or do the Grixis Zendikons make passable filler agro-haste creatures for larger cube sizes? Does the effective {1} activation cost make them unplayable?
I played wind zendikon for a while in the early stages of my cube because it allowed blue an early resilient drop but ended up cutting it due to the competition for blue slots.
The 1 mana "activation cost" and the loss of the land when the creature dies does not make up for the pseudo-haste and recursive nature of the card, IMO. I think the bodies needed to be more pushed than they are in order to have a legit shot of being cubeworthy.
The blue one seems cool. 2/2 flyer for U is solid.
It also has cool synergy with lands you might want to use twice, like wasteland or horizon canopy.
The blue one is, IMO, the best one by far, and I think Faerie Conclave is much better for that slot anyway. But the cute trick with Wasteland didn't occur to me. I'm still not sure if I would like to open up a spot for Wind Zendikon, but maybe it has potential.
Let us all know how it plays. I'm not sure being able to use wasteland twice is enough to make me want to run it. But again, blue has some of the sorriest one drop options available so I can be convinced to give this card a shot if reviews are good.
Wow Retra has a cool angle! I guess these also make excessive lands (many green decks accomplish this easily) more attractive, but god are the bodies ever uninspiring.

That's triple the upkeep cost though. Are you really sure effectively losing 3 lands is better than losing only 1?
To clarify, the card isn't recursive with regards to itself; it gives you the land back, not the enchantment.

I think I like the genju cycle better as well, but I may consider that blue one. It's not like blue has a huge selection of good one drops.
