Do people feel Collective Brutality is good enough for a 540 powered cube? I'm not running it currently but have always been pretty interested in finding room for it... I just don't know what I'd cut (isn't that always the case?).

The hard thing about your list is that some of the black aggro 1-drops and persist combo creatures are probably the weakest cards in black, but I recognize you need those for density. At 540 perhaps Carnophage could be shaved? Maybe Hero's Downfall is redundant with Murderous Rider? Also looking at Puppeteer Clique and Mikaeus. I don't know, 540 is tough these days.

I run Brutality at 360 and it's not close to the cutting board.
It slots into so many decks, both aggressive decks and reanimator decks, it's just always great.
Collective Brutality is IMO the second best discard spell after Thoughtseize.
- The -2/-2 is very strong - especially good against aggressive decks/ ramp decks
- Discard outlet for Reanimator
- Able to put three cards in the graveyard - very good in Treasure Cruise, Seasons Past, Life from the Loam decks.
- Very good in aggressive decks to remove blockers, burn + disruption
Its a card I absolutely loved in both modern and legacy - very flexible.
It is slightly harder to deploy - you will need to be able to correctly guess the context of the opponent's hand based on what they're played in the previous turns.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have not given this card much of a chance in the past and I think it will be worth trying out in place of SOMETHING based on the reactions here. I appreciate the help!
