Cubes engineered to go into the long game with regularity (larger unpowered cubes) will likely have a lower average mana cost on their delve spells than smaller powered lists do. 8cc delve spells average a 4cc when I need to cast them in-game over many many years of playing with them in various decks. Obviously this is going to vary from instance to instance, but on the whole, that has been the average. Dig has been the same; as has Cruise when we played it. If the game turns extend by 2-3 extra turns per game on average, than those average cmc numbers would very likely come down.
Been cubing with it for a while, card can be anywhere from meh to really good.
In tight lists with only premium cantrip suite, Id advise against running it.
If you run a lot of cantrips I highly recommend it, because in a deck with cheap proactive spells and fetchlands the card is absurd. It needs to be slightly built around tho.
We tried it yesterday in two drafts. Got some negative responses. Played mostly as a Concentrate variant that was anti-synergistic with several other cards (like Psychatog).
Same here. But we've had some positives too. It has to go into the right shell with the right composition of other cards in order to be more than a fair card in this format.
This card continues to seem horrendous to me. Why is this card in every Cube I see? Why is this card in MY Cube? It's like a situational draw 3 for 5 mana at sorcery speed...

Interesting that it is anti synergistic. Even if you exile seven cards from your graveyard (+3,5) you get one new card in the bin (+0,5) and three new in hand that you can discard to the atog (+4,5). And psychatog can help you paying for the cruise with the discard.

I'm still loving Treasure Cruise. It usually wont come online until the late game but when it does it costs 1 or 2 mana; having it in your hand earlier in the game lets you plan round it like trading creatures more aggressively or playing out more spells in the knowledge you can refill your hand.
Maybe its worse is a powered cube, but it works great for me.

If you're routinely paying 5 mana for it, it's probably in the wrong decks. In decks with fetches and cheap interactive spells, you should be getting this down below 4 mana every time. 3U is the max I've paid for a Treasure Cruise in this format.

So in order to do that on curve you need to put 4 cards into your graveyard in the first 3 turns of the game - that seems impossible to do consistently as the floor on this card... I understand there is turn 7+ value as a tempo play, but I consistently see this card as pay 4-5 for draw 3 (both in practice and Cube streaming/videos).
I think I would rather bluff a counter than cruise for 4 or 5, but that could be a bad play. A cheap turn 4 cruise isn't too hard if you are fetching looting and playing spells.
It's really is a later game spell for when you have both been trading resource sets and you delve your whole graveyard to pull ahead. Turn 4 I would expect to have better more cost effective spells or counters to hold up mana for, if I don't treasure cruise is a last resort but I honestly think I would hold off until it's costing 2 or 3.

How much it costs when you cast it, and trying to play it "on curve" are two different things. It's fine to play this as the last card you cast from your hand, and when you do so, it should be less than 5 mana.
Everyone still loving the cruise? We have had nothing but positive experiences and it is routinely cast for 3 or less to refill a hand. Surprised at how much love/hate it is getting in here!
We no longer play it. It seldom cost less than four mana, usually five and felt like a trap for newer players that are accustomed to the card's powerlevel in constructed

In my cube it's really good.
