Hallowed Spiritkeeper 1WW
Creature - Avatar
Vigilance
When Hallowed Spiritkeeper dies, put X 1/1 white Spirit creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield, where X is the number of creature cards in your graveyard.
3/2
(Counts itself when it dies and if you get wrathed, it counts the creatures that died along with itself for the trigger.)
White has a good # of attacking 3s, but I think this is a solid one. Nice stats and replaces itself at worst and very good wrath insurance. Vigilance is a bit odd with 2 toughness but hey, free ability is ok.
WOah...... Auto include (for me at least). Anything that helps or is great with Birthing Pod is good.
Sustains aggro beats. Vigilance makes it a rattlesnake as well. Remember Hornet Nest? (Actually vigilance is possibly the best mechanic for CMDR, that's why)
I don't think I have room for this guy at 450. The competition is just so steep and, like you said Usman, vigilance on a 2 toughness creature feels weak. If he had 3 toughness I would be closer to considering him, but even then I doubt the Spiritkeeper could compete.
I like that guy actually. He kind of reminds me of Blade Splicer. Same CMC. Blade Splicer gives you a 3/3 first strike and a 1/1. This gives you a 3/2 vigilance now and a 1/1 flyer when it dies (it always counts itself at least).
Obviously with a full yard, the upside is higher here. It's also more resilient to removal, but puts less immediate power on the board. This is also less abusable with blink effects.
Like I said, I think they are pretty close. I'll probably try to run this guy.
Re Scavenging Ooze: Yes. The Spiritkeeper's ability looks at the number of creatures in your graveyard as it resolves. If that number changes, such as in your example, the ability will use the updated count.
I like this card a lot. It will likely replace Soltari Champion, Flickerwisp or Mirror Entity. It's getting in my cube somehow anyway.
I feel like Mirror Entity is uncuttable. Flickerwisp is an evasive threat that provides a unique and flexible effect. Soltari Champion could arguably be cut, but I love what that guy does for Aggro and token decks. Compared to the 3 drops you mentioned, Spiritkeeper seems kind of durdly imo.
WCS, he's a 3/2 vigilance that "persists" into a 1/1 flier.
BCS, he's a 3/2 vigilance that gives you a 10+ of fliers upon death
ACS is probably 2 fliers early game, maybe 5-6 late.

The more I think about this guy, the less I like him. Let's compare him to other similar 3 drops.
Soltari Priest - 'unblockable' anthem on a stick for an easier casting cost. This new guy doesn't seem as good.
Mirror Entity - an even better anthem on a stick that makes many games just unwinnable for your opponents. I can't ever see cutting ME.
Brimaz - Makes this new guy look plain terrible.
Kitchen Finks (even though it's GW) - similar base stats, with a death trigger, but can be abused with flicker effects that this new guy just lacks.
Flickerwisp - same casting cost, but an evasive 3 damage threat that can abuse ETB effects or remove opponent's blockers.
Blade Splicer - easier casting cost and the abusability of the ETB effect and the size of the 3/3 golem makes Splicer a better card.
Mirran Crusader - 2 color protection and double strike. completely bonkers with equipment. I think this is the closest to being cut for the new guy, but I still think the Mirran guy is on top.
I think this new guy is firmly behind all of the above. If you're still running banisher priest type guys and want some variation, that swap would make sense. But it really depends on how many white 3drop creatures you're looking for.
I'll probably pass at 360 and wait to be proven wrong by others' testing results.

This is why I dont run 360, its hard to find cuts for anything anymore. He definitely seems good for lists above 500
Can't argue with that. There are times I miss when my cube was 450 and I could fit a larger variety of cards, but the added consistency to combos and certain archetypes (wildfire) keeps me at 360. This is what playing friends' cubes are for!

Lol. Ya you really cant support much combo in larger cubes, but I like the variety of cards over a few niche combos. I do miss time vault though!
This will absolutely make my 720, and has a very good shot of making my 540.
I don't know if this guy is good enough for 450 or 360. Vigilance on him is far worse than First Strike, but if he becomes equipped it can actually be better.
This guy is the actual nut in Stax, if you support that archetype. I'll have to try and find room for this guy.
Oooh. Good point. Suddenly I like him more. I might cut fiend hunter for him - he seems less useful now that we have banishing light and council's judgment.
While this is certainly a good creature, the competition in the white 3-drop slot is steep. Especially conisidering the double white in the cost. Silverblade Paladin is the only creature from that slot in my list that I would consider cutting for this.
It's borderline, though probably in for me at 540 (white's 3-drops are very good). The upside is certainly there, but I suspect that the ACS is going to be worse than Kitchen Finks. Getting one or two tokens out of the deal is probably the norm rather than the exception, and exiling removal makes this look kind of foolish.
Double white is also a pretty significant drawback.
I'm running Pianna, Nomad Captain ( I don't play shadow creatures) and she is getting cut for this guy. Normally I hate curving out and then getting wrathed. With this guy I have 3-4 tokens on the board afterwards.
My cube is somewhat larger at 676 cards so I have the latitude to include guys like this. I too am running Pianna as my weakest anthem-on-a-stick I think this is easily better.
Mirran Crusader - 2 color protection and double strike. completely bonkers with equipment. I think this is the closest to being cut for the new guy, but I still think the Mirran guy is on top.
The other white 3-drops are great for sure but I like how Mirran Crusader can keep pushing damage through vs mid-range. I'd like to try out Hallowed Spiritkeeper too but can't see myself cutting any of the other 3-drops.
Seems like this card is pretty good, it's like a super-juiced doomed traveler which I've always been on the fence about trying. The much-better abilities and attributes are worth the extra 1W.

It will count the number of creatures on resolution.

White 3 is so freaking stacked that I'm sketpical about including him, but at larger cubes, youd be nuts not to play him imo.
