And maybe more! This, combined with the (hopefully) reduced prices of some other cube staples makes MM15 an exciting set for me, even if it's not exciting some other cubers out there.
One of the best things about running a modern-frame cube is that even reprint sets like Duel Decks and Modern Masters can contain "new cards".
For the first time in Modern Frame, Black-Border, Non-Foil:
Good for you! Those are very good additions to 'modern-frame' cubes.

The part about reduced prices do interests me
Any chance of Gitaxian Probe and/or Serum Visions? They are too pricey for something I want just for testing.
This is an interesting idea I'd never heard about until now... Why a modern-frame cube instead of a modern-legal cube? Is it because you get cards in the Duel Decks, Commander pre-cons, and sets like Conspiracy, that become printed in the modern frame without ever being modern legal? (technically, the modern frame is now the previous frame and we have a new frame - but I guess for purposes such as this, you consider the M15-onward frame to be "modern" as well) So other than the Time Spiral timeshifted cards that have never been printed in the modern frame, a modern-legal cube would be missing quite a few cards that a modern-frame cube would include? Do you include cards like the new Force of Will judge foil as eligible for a modern-frame cube? And if so, do you HAVE TO use that version, or can you go back and use the original which is worth like 1/10 as much?

So for me, there are a couple reasons. One is that I like the cards to all look the same. I don't really even run things with "god sparkles" or "future-shifted" frames. Part of this is just my OCD, but part of it is also that I like my cube to be accessible. I want people with only a little bit of Magic experience (or even none) to be able to read and understand the cards. I don't run split/flip/transform either for this reason. I don't want beginners to feel even more overwhelmed. It's a pretty taxing experience already.
My cube is deliberately low-powered as well. Skullclamp is probably the most broken card I run, or maybe one of the Conspiracies. It's fun for new players to find deep uses for cards (like Squee) that at first might have seemed straightforward. What I don't enjoy is stuff like Channel, Show and Tell, Armageddon, etc. and trigger abuse with things like Mesmeric Fiend. Feel bads.
My cube is not for you if you want to do broken stuff or have nostalgia about Magic's history. But it works on a lot of levels. It's reasonably close to MTGOs Legacy Cube in power level, and it plays out with a similar kind of feel. But it's also something that I can use to teach Magic.
I don't run foils, so the foil question is moot. If you are a "modern-frame-foil" person, Wildfire was already available.
I think it's funny how people with "frame OCD" are okay with running the 8th modern frame and the new frame together. The hologram and the black gap at the bottom of the card make them look ascetically WAY different from the other modern frames. Especially when you look at them next to one another. It's a small-ish change, but it makes a pretty big impact on the way the cards look.
And how does the old frame make things harder for new players? If they can read, they can play with cards of any frame without any problems at all.

Generally true, but old cards have wonky text that has mostly been errata'd and don't have creature types ("Summon Creature").
I'm with you, OP. I actually proxy all cards, old border and 8th edition, to the M15 borders. I also would prefer all the art be digital so I customize a lot of the art too if it looks outdated. I swear, if they don't reprint Aven Mindcensor in MM15 I will punch a bear.
I'm very excited about Shadowmage Infiltrator and Mystic Snake too, I had Far//Away and Simic Sky Swallower as placeholders for those two cards.
Too bad we didn't get Gemstone Mine, it was the one I was looking forward the most. I guess I'll have to get a judge foil.
Still hoping for a Bribery reprint.
I'll be using the Shadowmage Infiltrator foiled from MM2015 in my cube over my current time spiraled one. I prefer the reminder text on Fear.
I'll probably also get a Wildfire foil as well since I like that art from Portal with the new frame and general template. Plus I like having the most recent errata for a card in my cube just simply because I have newer players that may play mine and I want the cards to represent the most modern text of the card.
Thats not the Modern Frame. At least, its the post-modern, or neo Modern frame. But it sure ain't the modern frame (8th edition frame).
Anyways if black border is important for Aesthetic purposes. You can always alter white border cards. It took me a good while but I mixed some paint specifically for that purpose. I have a lot of white border modern frame cards that I wanted to use. So I painted the border black.
Now it feels like I am gonna have to start trading stuff around to get my decks in the New Card Frame.
