An interesting take on usual staples Kodama's Reach and Cultivate. Getting only basic Forests is a downside compared to Reach/Cultivate (what's the deal with Nissa and basic Forests?), but it's card advantage nonetheless and that (potential) third Forest makes the card very appealing. Granted, Green is probably the worst color to get spells in the graveyard but going turn 1 cantrip, turn 2 Rampant Growth sounds very plausible; later in the game, you should have two spells in the grayveyard anyway. This also lets you trigger landfall for days.
This cards seems good if you REALLY want to push Super Ramp. One one hand, I think most cubes don't need a 3rd Kodama's Reach. On the other hand, I think most people are underestimating this card because the ramp effect is still good despite only being able to fetch forests.
At the moment this card isn't close to good enough.
It might all change post return-to-zendikar as it seems clear to me they are pushing a landfall mechanic very hard in that set.
If a fastbond deck can ever be supported and some better landfall payoffs get printed, this might be a decent enabler.
Basic forest only. Hard pass. If it could get forest duals or other basics, totally testable. But as only a ramp card and not a fixing card, why would I want this over all the much better artifact ramp that exists? It's not like having access to GGGG is going to matter very often.
Would have loved for this to effect all basic lands.
This probably won't cut it :(. Fixing is an important aspect of ramp in my opinion.
Colorless mana rocks? This card is ramp, card advantage, can't be blown up by shatter effects, etc.
Those are not good reasons to run this, IMO, as there are cards that do all this better. How many cultivates does a cube need? And more importantly, how many sucky cultivates does a cube need?
Worse than other options that we currently cube, and the spell mastery potential doesn't make up for the lack of fixing. Largely because spell mastery is terrible in green.

Same. There's absolutely no reason to play this card when you have so many other options with more flex.

But as of now, super easy pass
