Are there any 450 cube managers out there thinking of adding a subsection of Colorless matters? How are you putting together your fixing lands? I am currently running Dual, Shock, Fetch and will be completing my cycle of manlands. Short of adding a 5th cycle of Pain/Filter, how are you considering supporting this subsection?
I really want to ad a <> section to my unpowered 540 but I am a little concerned that its just too many changes to warrant the 8-10 new cards. For those that have been testing, how do you find the draft process working with <> cards? Are they worth it? Do they increase the overall power level/quality of the cube?
They've added to the depth of the draft, giving players a whole new avenue of interesting cards, effects and mana to pay attention to. And a lot of them are quite powerful. You have to be ready for a big shake-up though, because there's a lot of card swaps that take place to enable C.

I am considering a small toe in the water. And I don't think it requires too much of a shift. You seem to be running very few signets, but changing out allied ones to talismans is an easy move. You are already running a whole slew of just colorless rocks but adding pristine talisman and guardian idol are simple moves. Volrath's Stronghold, Terramorphic expanse, and Grans Coliseum are good lands at 450 as well.

Yea... I'm looking at 20+ changes at least to make room for 10 <> cards. I like your method of cutting a guild card and treating the Eldrazi section as gold. If anything, with the mana base changes, I bet it improves average card playability.
I rain all 10 pain lands before the battlelands came out in BFZ so I can certainly attest to that. Also, running cards like Tendo Ice Bridge over fringe lands like Undiscovered Paradise and swapping Talisman for Signets isn't going to hurt anything. I think these changes will be much less obstructive to my cube composition than I initially thought.
Uril, the Miststalker RGW -- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre C -- Vhati il-Dal BG -- Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer RW -- Animar, Soul of Elements URG
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker R -- Maga, Traitor to Mortals B -- Ghave, Guru of Spores BGW -- Sliver Hivelord WUBRG
