Does anyone consider swapping Farseek (if you play it) with Rampant Growth?
Farseek can find duals, but Growth can find Wastes. I am not sure which one would be best after OGW.
Also could Springjack Pasture be a consideration or is its ability too mana intensive?
What about Ghost Quarter? Taps for and can be a pseudo-Wasteland. Using that ability can now be interesting. What if your opponent is splashing for and fetches a Wastes? Also, what if you're splashing for and need a Wastes? You can nuke an excess land and get one. Sure, you're 2-for-1'ing yourself there, but if it lets you cast a vital spell, it's worth it.
Also, something of a dark-horse candidate here, but what about Crystal Vein?
I just want to point out that I think Mirrodin's Core is quite underrated. I play it in my peasant list and it's always a really solid fixer. I'm usually surprised at how often I can leave it untapped to build up the counters. It only slows you down if you need to cast a CC spell and it's your second land of the game. It's not an aggro fixer, but I've found it be pretty good in midrange and especially in control builds. If I end up going with a colorless section and the cards play well, Mirrodin's Core will more than likely find a spot in my powered cube as well.
I actually like Tectonic Edge more than Ghost Quarter in this format, because they'll never fail to find. And the Edge is actually a good answer to the new manlands. I'll try that out for additional C support if the Wayfarer's Bauble doesn't wind up impressing me this go-around. Hell, I may try it over that card anyways...
Tectonic Edge is great. I ran that card before OGW and with the 3 new manlands and need for more colorless support, it becomes much better. I certainly like it more than Bauble.
It was solid but unspectacular before. But there have been at least 7 nonbasics added in since the last time I played it, AND a need for the C mana. I think I'll be happy with it.
It really bothers me that Tectonic Edge costs 1 to activate, while Strip Mine and Wasteland cost no mana to activate. Makes the card a bit too fair for cube and really offends my sense of aesthetics. Would have been a cool progression of 0>1>2 restrictions otherwise.
In my searching, I also discovered Shrine of Boundless Growth. Probably too slow, and would only ever go in as a green card, but if you're supporting a green Eldrazi ramp archetype (e.g. with Awakening Zone, Nest Invaderet al) it's probably worth a thought.
TBH Shrine of Boundless Growth seems a little clunky and slow, but if you try it out, let us know the results :).
Another option for colorless mana could be Cathedral of War, but I'm not sure that the payoff is high enough.
Are people finding that their decks actually need Wastes? So far, in my limited testing, nobody has used a Waste... everyone who needs a colorless source seems to be able to find them without resorting to running a Waste.
It does show up sometimes. Usually not more than 1 or 2 at most, mainly for the cards that interact with "basics" that can find them. The only deck that might run 2 would be a green Kozilek deck that has a couple of the double basic grabbers, so one spell (like a Cultivate or Yavimaya Elder) can secure your CC for you.
I grabbed a few just in case and they are gathering dust. No one has ever needed one for their decks here but I am not trying to support a "package" as much as just a few cards. This isn't something that is black or white in that you should have them or not. If you make it so your cube supports colorless as it is, you probably don't need them.
In my deck I had one waste as it was the 7th colorless source and it could also be fetched with Solemn Simulacrum.
Agree you will rarely need more than 2 in your deck.
In my land box I've added 4 wastes, 2 of each picture - ideally that will become 1 foil/1 non-foil of each picture.
We cube Worldknit, and needed tons of Wastes for these decks - if you don't need basic land types, you're better off without them because Sundering Titan is a card
What do people think about Haunted Fengraf? I couldn't find much discussion about the card and it looks like it could be a consideration for a colorless source.
It could also be a part of a grindy Loam-engine if you support that.
Farseek can find duals, but Growth can find Wastes. I am not sure which one would be best after OGW.
Also could Springjack Pasture be a consideration or is its ability too mana intensive?
Yes, the Pasture is just not good enough. I could see Kher Keep gaining value in some people's Purphoros/Bombardment builds though.

I just think that more decks splash a specific color than colorless, so maybe Farseek is still the better choice.
