I think it's the same thing as giving out extra Squadron Hawks or a second Brothers Yamazaki, no matter how you try and pretty it up. It's still giving two functionally independent cards to a player for a single pick. Which is fine if that's what your playgroup is cool with, but it seems disingenuous to try and justify one and not the other.
Our group voted unanimously that the Meld mechanic has no place in our cube. However, if a card with the Meld mechanic is good enough to be in the cube on it's own merits, it's in, if not, it's out. Simple as that. We are going to treat the Meld as flavor text. YMMV and I wouldn't hold it against any group who felt differently.
I'm hoping that I can add one instance of the meld combo, when the set is finally spoiled. Will look over everything next week.
We've already seen everything with Meld that we're gonna get.
That's unfortunate. I guess the red guy and the land are terrible. Haven't really sat down and looked at the set yet. Also a shame that Bruna is garbage.

Only 3 options for meld, all of which have been revealed.
I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.
