Is anyone playing with Spellskite? I was going through some old Modern decks and found one. I know wtwlf123 uses it in his blue section. What's the consensus?

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

I like Spellskite. It's a solid early blocker, a good artifact for the artifact.dec, and it is a lightning rod for protecting your most valuable permanents. I'm a fan.
I absolutely love Spellskite! Early blocker for your control deck, protects your finishers (and sometimes artifacts), great early artifact for the artifact deck. Good use of the often misunderstood Phyrexian mana, too.
Is there a reason we're not seeing too much play with Spellskite in recent years?
It's not a great archetype enabler other than being an enforcer to protect your Kiki-Twin combo or something. Being able to protect Hullbreacher combo is also a thing too now, but it was never really needed.
If blue cards are a concern, I would personally count this in my colorless section.
Competition for slots in general is fierce. A slot is a slot regardless of where it comes from. I like Spellskite, but I have no particular need / desire for it at the moment.
Of note, if Twin combo is in your cube, Skite can also provide an out to colors or decks that would normally struggle against it, while still having application beyond that. G decks come to mind, while still being able to protect a Rofellos or something similarly good. Worth considering based on your cube composition.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

It eats almost any removal and blocks very well. Your opponent will have to use multiple resources to deal with it.
Here's my cube! Give it a draft!

My High Octane Unpowered Cube on CubeCobra
It sees sideboard anti-Agro play, artifact deck play and splinter twin play. It plays a role, but is far from necessary.
protecting some of your more expensive artifacts from efficient artifact destruction/theft spells is a nice side use.
it’s on the chopping block right now and has been in and out of my cube for years.
