When ~ enters the battlefield, each opponent may search his or her library of a basic land card, put it into play tapped, then shuffle his or her library.
3/3
It's a hell of a drawback, but I'm a little surprised to see the hardcore green aggro folks not talking about it at all. Jungle Lion needs friends, even if they ramp and fix your opponent, I'd think.

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

ugh, I can't imagine this being anything but super unplayable.
The drawback is most back breaking in the first turn of the game, and later in the game a 3/3 by itself isoutclassed.
Basically The tempo advantage a 3/3 for 1 gets you is more than offset by the tempo boost you are giving your opponent. AND you are giving them a card. ugh.
Yeah, casting this seems like a fine way to get yourself killed in a hurry. What happens when your opponent drops True-Name Nemesis on turn 2? Or Kalitas on turn 3? Or literally any cubeable removal/bounce spell? So many things can and will go wrong, all for the sake of an easily replaceable beatstick.
Most green one drops can't overcome the hurdle that is Noble Hierarch / Deathrite Shaman or Infect creatures in Legacy. Nimble Mongoose has a much better chance of making a comeback than this seeing play.
As far as cube goes, a 3/3 or bigger will almost always be a trap, the only exception probably only being Wild Nacatl.
You're probably right, but in some match ups there are no green one drops that are essentially a free 3/3 i.e. against decks with no basics, so I'm interested to see if that actually makes a difference since this is an unprecedented card in that regard. Sometimes it's hard to predict that meta, otherwise we would've seen a meta full of Treasure Cruises and Dig Through Times since day 1, but we didn't.
I'm not saying that this card will have that type of impact, but it's too early to really say whether something that could have an impact definitely will or will not, especially since as, at min a SB card, we haven't really seen a creature do what this does.

If you're playing against a deck with no basics, it's probably Belcher or some other deck thaf doesn't care about a one mana 3/3.
This ain't no Goyf / Treasure Cruise / Dig Through Time.
There are a number of decks in legacy without basics, if not only like 1 or 2, and they are not all unfair decks. It's not that crazy, at all. A guaranteed 3/3 that you can protect with one of your 8 free counters + other counters those decks run seems pretty good when it is relevant. I could be wrong, but the theorycrafting is there for this as a SB option. Sometimes in those delver mirror matches it's less about who has more counters and answers and more about who has more cheap threats, and so few of those decks run basics because they don't have room for them.
And again, I'm not saying it is--in fact, I literally say I'm not saying it's going to have that impact lol--but if legacy players missed on major players like Cruise as much as they did, then I'm hesitant to say this has no chance as well.
Wild nacatl is essentially a 3/3 for 1 in modern/legacy and still sees very little play... Sideboard cards are precious in eternal formats and spending one on a card that's UPSIDE is a wild nactal, is probably not gonna happen. Especially since people tend to bring in more efficient removal vs creature decks after side board.
I agree this is steaming garbage for cube but I like that they are trim to print pushed aggro one drops in green. What would the stats have had to been for this to be playabable in cube with this drawback? 5/5?

Agreed. G/W Aggro with Path to Exiles and Ghost Quarters? Just not happening in cube though.
Maybe RUG delver legacy lists? Maybe not since it dies to bolt, but even then I could see it.
