Seems pretty low on the list of playables, but for those not running planeswalkers or supporting a deep tokens theme, maybe?

Even if it cost one less mana it would be bad. Cool design though.

Kind of excited for this effect in standard, but Hallowed Spiritkeeper is almost certainly the card you’re looking for.

How can this possibly start as a 1/1 for a multicoloured 4 drop? very disapointed as i was hoping for something more playable than vona, butcher of magan

I love it. This is the kind of card that works perfectly for my cube while failing in others: the floor of a 1/1 lifelink that dies twice is not the worst. It is a solid build around card, a serious support card for two well liked archetypes (aristocrats and tokens), and it has various random synergies: it's a vampire, it's decent life gain, and it loves power buffs and combat tricks. Plus, it's not just some creature-crept beefcake with un-earned stats, which is a lot of what comes out these days. BW is a tough place to find cuts, but this is a very strong contender for my cube.

Nobody who is looking at the top X guild cards find room for this.

Playing nice with the cards like recruiter of the guard and Reveillark is nice.

Khabál Ghoul has come a long way. But this is still a very easy pass. Not only is the guild really competitive (there's no chance this cracks the top 6-7 cards in ), but this just looks like a much worse version of Hallowed Spiritkeeper! ...which is not only better, but it's 3 mana instead of 4 AND it's only one color. No thank you.

Costing 4 kinda sucks. 4s in cube really need to be lights-out, as you never are out of options. It's tough imagining a 23 that includes this over others cube-4s.
