Alright, you sold me LucidVision. I'm going to test this out in place of Shardless Agent.
I've been trying to have my multicolor cards be archetype pieces as much as possible (like they are in normal draft environments) so I like having a ramp payoff in a guild that produces a lot of ramp decks.
I also think it's quite good. Not great, but good. The floor of a Messenger Falcons plus trample and a life is serviceable and it's about as good a top deck as you can want. It's not the Simic bomb we asked for but I will slot it in over Kiora for a go. X scaling creatures tend to play a bit better in practice.
I'm currently testing this guy out. The cube manager in me knows the card is too narrow. It's a ramp-only creature that doesn't become worthwhile until I hit 6+ mana, that can't be cheated into play by reanimation, Sneak/Show strategies OR Oath/Stampede decks. It can't get flickered or flipped in and out of play for value. It doesn't support any specific strategy, or even provide needed help to the one deck it's good in. BUT! But. The Timmy in me wants to pay 12 mana to cast this monster as a 10/10 flying trample that draws 5 cards and gains 5 life. And is just weak enough for me to be able to give it a shot. In those big mana ramp decks, it becomes a solid investment at 6-mana, and becomes very good at 8/10/12 mana, which decks engineered to cast gigantic monsters can reach. This isn't the GU card I wanted (or needed) but it sure does look fun.
Seems perfect with upheaval and self bounce. Cryptic command and mystic confluence come to mind. Definitely situational. I do feel like simic is definitely trying to be a modular guild in my cube, in that you can play cards at different times.

How is this card performing for people? Given its current price, I’m reticent to get a copy if it’s just going to be a placeholder for a better Simic card (assuming one of those will be printed someday.) FYI, my guild sections run 4 cards, so Coiling Oracle or Mystic Snake would likely be the cut. (Or Trygon Predator, which comes in and out for me.)
Bumping this - how has this card performed for those testing it? My drafters are pushing me to test it, and I do think I've underrated it, but I'm not sure if it's actually good enough.

My Cubes - The Busted Cube. A fully functional, almost 100% custom cube. The project started out by asking "What if other colors got cards on the power level of Mana Drain,Ancestral Recall, and Time Walk?" Draft and enjoy!
I think Krasis might be #3-ish behind Nissa and Edric (the only 2 Simic "staples", IMO). I personally like Snake more, but Snake's kinda a pet card for me, so ya. But Krasis competes with Predator, the Kioras, Agent, Snake, Oracle and all the other tier-2 stuff relatively favorably, and if nothing else, it brings some fresh blood into a relatively stale guild.
I've been doing some cube overhauling and read in an old This or That post that Hydroid Krasis was doing pretty well for folks? Has this card outperformed the original pessimism or did I misread? Given the price of the card I presume it's doing a lot of work in standard?

This card has performed quite well for us. I rank it as the 4th best Simic card. I like Nissa, Steward a tad more because it’s a great turn 2 play off an elf, and lategame play for 8+ and immediately win the game happens more often than expected.
