I find this card incredibly interesting. It's a Young Pyromancer/Monastery Mentor that exchanges the downside of "dies to removal" to the downside of "can be attacked". The reason to play the card is the static ability, but the minus can also function as giving creatures psuedo-haste, or even a ramp spell. It's not an easy one to evaluate, but there's a lot of potential here. I don't know if I want three planeswalkers in my Izzet section, but I also don't think this functions as a walker given the lack of a plus ability. More like a fragile enchantment. The question for me is if it will be too fragile, but five loyalty is a lot for coming down on turn 3. And to top it all off it's hybrid!
I feel like half the time you cast this PW, especially on the draw, she's just going to die right away. Not being able to protect herself really hurts this version of Saheeli. FWIW, I think this is definitely the most compelling of the non-rare walkers for cube, but I don't think she's quite there.
A hard card to evaluate, but I'd rather not be too critical too early of token generators. Definitely interesting, and I think it should deserve some testing.

if you cast this on turn 3 into attackers with out any blockers you are playing it wrong. Casting it on turn 4 while holding up say bolt, you can probably take out 1 of the attackers and create a chump blocker as a worst case scenario.
the card needs testing though to decide if the flexibility of this card makes up for it's lower power level.
Not bad, but I think being a 3-drop might be too slow for this effect. I could be wrong, but not being a threat itself is huge and the better her static ability is, the less targets her -2 is going to have.

I mean, the -2 can target one of the servos to turn it into a Gilded Lotus you just played to play Wildfire on turn 5 :devil emoji:.
The decks that use her won't have many creatures, but some versions will have artifacts that are valuable to copy like ramp and can even draw a card with like Sensei's Divining Top and so on. And the creatures these decks do have can be like Blightsteel/Ancient Stone Idol/Myr Battlesphere/Goblin Welder, and giving those psuedo-haste is certainly valuable.
I think this card will prove to be good enough for eternal constructed play. But it might not quite get there for cube, depending on how combat-centric your environment is. For more combo-centric cube play, it'll be quite good. But for cubes that regularly win through the red zone, she may be a bit too fragile. This might be the best overall Magic card from this set though. A Young Pyromancer that doesn't die to creature removal that can be pitched to Force of Will and cast entirely off blue mana. Someone will find a way to use this somewhere.
I aim to test it to find out. It is a synergy machine, working well in spells decks, token decks and artifact decks; and having a casting cost that allows you to play it in as many places as possible.
I think this card has legs in cube. Being able to be cast with only blue mana is a big deal, and turning Servos into your larger ramp pieces for a big spell or to effectively give one of your creature finishers haste is a big deal. I'll be testing at 450 and it wouldn't surprise me if she does quite well.

This does everything I want a cube card to do, AND it's hybrid mana, AND it's even uncommon (so very obtainable). This is the kind of thing my cube lives on. Absolute snap-include.

Dude, but you can turn a servointo a different servo.
She does compare pretty favorably to Nissa, Voice of Zendikar actually, which has been a great cube card for me. My first impression of her was skewed towards worst case scenario-land and I overlooked a lot of her synergy. She does look like a lot of fun.
I've been trying to stick to one walker per guild, but she'll play differently enough from most walkers that I may give her a shot in addition to her Saheeli, the Gifted.
This is certainly the most interesting so far for me. I love spells.dec and an izzet version of young pyromancer has long been on my want list. 3 might be 1 more than I want to pay but it comes with a situation, but potentially gamebreaking, clone effect (Copying a rabblemaster or thundermaw) . Also being playable in any blue or red deck gives this some legs. We have never had a 3 mana red walker to cube with before. It plays well with Daretti.
However, I'd be careful comparing her to monastery mentor or seeing her as a win condition.
When I think back to games with monastery mentor, sometimes you really go off and make 4-6+ tokens. But without the prowess and mentors body, how much pressure would that really create?
A deck that's focused on beating down would love 4+ tokens for 3 mana, but would a control deck? a ramp deck?
I've found Young Pyromancer underperforms in cube for decks that are light on win conditions if that means anything.
Saheeli is probably more to be used in conjuction with a plan, than being a plan in herself. Contrasting to monastery mentor who can be a sole win condition.
The -2 will have some occasional powerful upside, so you can't evaluate her strictly for her static ability. Copying a titan or a battlesphere on a servo, can lead to some disgusting scenarios. Playing a mana vault or a black lotus, then immediatly copying it onto the servo can lead to absurd mana boosts.
Card is at least solid, as there's quite a few favorable interactions to be found in cube, and I probably would have glossed over her unless this thread was made.
Tolarian academy, Sensei's divining top, Myr battlesphere, skull clamp, black lotus etc.
Have my reservations, but think she's worthy of a test. I like her.
For some reason, this may be better in a traditional cube than an artifact cube. Spells, tokens, artifacts, copy effects, on a mono color? Will test this in Cube and in Artifact Cube.
I think this card is quite competitive with Saheeli the Gifted, even in cubes with artifact support. Saheeli the Gifted is obviously better in the artifact deck specifically, but this Saheeli can go in more decks (only requiring a single color is very good). Fundamentally though, they tend to go in different decks. I'll be testing this one alongside Saheeli, the Gifted.

It's not a question of whether she makes it into mine, it's just which card to remove for her spot.

Absolutely not. If you have 0 support for artifact.dec in your cube, maybe. But if you support the artifact deck at all, saheeli the gifted is great.
