For me she may actually replace Dack Fayden (*GASP*). He's definitely the more objectively powerful card, but Saheeli seems much more fun to play with, and she doesn't bring "oh, your playing Batterskull? Derp it's mine and I win now" feelings.
I think Saheeli the gifted is quite good, but she's replaceable level power.
As in, she's far from a critical piece to an artifact deck, and she's not very good outside of that deck.
There's a high enough chance this saheeli is as good or better that I think it's very reasonable to test this Saheeli out over her.
I'm a strong advocate of trying out new cards, even if they are unlikely to stick. You'd be surprised what you find or like.
For example, I slightly prefer Expansion//Explosion over Saheeli the gifted, and that's an unpopular opinion that I wouldn't have formed without testing an unpopular card.
I'm all in for testing Expansion//Explosion and I've appreciated you speaking up for the card LucidVision. The only reason I haven't slotted it into my cube is that I haven't cubed in like 6 months and I don't own one but I full intend to give the split card it's day in the sun. It seems fun.
And I agree about the Saheeli situation, though both Saheeli's would play REALLY well together.
I wouldn't worry about saturation. This is a planeswalker, but it functions wildly different from other planeswalkers. This is closer to an enchantment in terms of how it plays out than it is to other 'walkers. It has a completely different dynamic. I'm interested to see her in action too, because playing her correctly will require some nuance, which is nice to see. I expect to see people overuse the {-2} ability for too small an effect, when loyalty preservation is likely more important given the static effect.

I disagree with Saheeli not being very good outside of an artifact deck. She's strong in any UR deck that wants to ramp / has a couple of mana rocks lying around. She's also a blue planeswalker token generator for Opposition decks.
New Saheeli has potential, but I think it's going to rely too much on synergy and I really don't like the fact that she does absolutely nothing on her own. IMO new Saheeli much more replaceable than Saheeli, the Gifted.
Yeah, and if you do run 3 izzet walkers, all 3 are pretty different. Dack is a pure value PW that can be good in grixis GY decks too, this one will only go in spells matter, and 4 cmc Saheeli is the closest to a traditional grindy PW, but still best in artifact.dec.
It might be the fourth most powerful izzet walker but I'm excited because this will go in my rainbow section instead of izzet. I am guessing 50+% of the time this will go in decks that only reliably have one of the two colors. I can see it being quite good in a jund deck that uses it for extra blockers and increase the value of the prime removal spells. The minus comes down to duplicate one of the premium finishers and clean up.
This one plays well in a lot more than just the spells matters deck. She's also great in token decks and the artifact.dec.
Ehhh, she's OK in a token deck. You need to trigger her 3 times to be worth it in that deck, and I'd probably just have a spell that generates tokens immediately. She is pretty good in the artifact deck, though.
Well, her {-2} ability has a lot of utility in those decks too, and in the token deck, there's a lot of targets I could copy that break the game wide open. I think she'll be strong in all 3 of those decks, making her a very useful cube card. Not to mention her hybrid mana cost, which makes her even more flexible.
Mixed bag in my experience. Sometimes she provides a lot of value and can randomly copy a Wurmcoil or something, but sometimes she's too slow. I find myself boarding her out against aggro / combo if I have more valuable sideboard cards in X matchup.
This card has ranged from very good to insane for me. I think I've cast her in like 6 different games in two separate drafts. I love Dack Fayden a lot but early returns on Saheeli have been tremendous at 540 powered for me.
Definitely a top 3 Izzet card with Dack & Izzet Charm. Really tempting to say it is at least the #2 Izzet card. Translation is that I think it belongs in every 360 list.

Seems pretty sweet, I like cards that fit in multiple archetypes; artifacts, spells matter, tokens, stax, and opposition. Excited to try her out. I put her in instead of Dack as well, farewell old friend.
I love Saheeli more than most. Card's fantastic. But she's not even in the same league as Dack. Dack Fayden is probably the best multicolor card in the cube. There is no way I'd ever cut Dack for ...well probably anything. But not for anything else is offering at the moment, that's for sure.
I love her as a synergy card, but she’s been a little less generically good than I initially anticipated.
She’s playable in generic blue based spells decks but nothing special.
I really like her in artifact decks where the tokens can be used to count towards an artifact count, and there’s often powerful creature targets to copy.
In lower to the ground Izzet decks , that try to primarily win via aggression , she also hasn’t been great. (Clock is too slow)
But all it takes is a few interactions and she becomes much better.
Saheeli has been insane for me. Like truly bonkers. Played it against a buddy who had been mild on her and it was the key to my victory
After the game he was impressed by how she played and I commented that she is like that every time for me.
Great with opposition and just non creature spell decks. I've even copied big guys with it on occassion and smashed face.
Absolutely love this card and it is definitely the #2 Izzet card at least. It has been so insane for me I've even wondered if it is better than Dack which I know is blasphemy.

I feel Dack Fayden is better in higher level (especially powered) cubes, and a little worse, but still strong, at each step down. If you're playing Moxen, Sol Ring, Skullclamp, a set of Swords, and Vedalken Shackles, Dack is S tier. If you've cut Wurmcoil Engine for being too generically powerful for your cube, Dack is more like an A-.
Has anyone played with Saheeli in the last few years? Retrofitter Foundry is a card that has increased the value of having servos and thopters around.
I am making some adjustments to my cube and was looking at my Izzet section and I was a bit sad about not finding room for Lutri, the Spellchaser and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer. I find both to be cool designs and they do interesting things. Neither make the cut for top Izzet cards in my opinion though. However, as both are hybrid, I figured maybe I should just add them as a a red and a blue card. I feel this makes sense from a color balancing perspective, but then I am unsure if Saheeli is actually good enough to see any particular play. I guess I will just put them in and see how often they get played.
