I'm still enjoying it; it hasn't done anything stellar but I think that's more down to a low rep count. When it has been on the board it has caused headaches for my opponents since they have to play round it, a land that can take out your biggest threat at instant speed is something your opponent has to respect.
I like it as well.
I have to be honest though, my utilityland-section is a mixture of my gut-feeling and personal preference. I don't have a number limit there, so as long as a land is good its in, I wouldn't cut another utilityland for it.
I've enjoyed it. I like that it gives answers to permanent types that are otherwise hard to answer, especially planeswalkers and enchantments. It can answer an Opposition lock, Moat or Sulfuric Vortex. It answered a True-Name Nemesis wielding a Sword of Fire and Ice better than most cards in cube could.
It is weaker than my early evaluation. Only control decks truly like it, and only permission decks really love it. Even then, you don't activate it very often. It is too slow for many threats. Usually when it is activated it is to either kill an otherwise unanswerable game-winning card out of necessity or to generate card advantage (usually killing two two-drops). A lot of the value is hidden - your opponent will keep his third one drop in hand etc.
We still play it, but it isn't very highly picked in general - but I honestly think that is more a perception thing, people underestimating how good it can be for them.
Starting on 1 kills this card for me. If this had a failsafe mode where at least it kills tokens I'd be more inclined to include it. As is this just has too many drawbacks even for the low opportunity cost that comes with being a land.
Edit: It looks I already said this a long while back in this thread....hey at least I'm consistent =P
been a very low pick and has been pretty medium. still just a little too mana intensive and not hitting tokens is a bust. will be cutting for the next interesting utility land.
