This seems comparable to Declaration in Stone to me. DIS is better at removing tokens, and giving up a clue is probably less of a drawbback than giving up a free land is. BUT, the 6cc mode on Winds of Abandon is pretty insane, and I could see it being the more powerful overall card because of the Overload mode. I'll probably test this card since I play Declaration now, and I think the baseline is close enough to warrant some extended testing.
I like this more than Declaration. Every deck can use card draw but not every deck can use extra mana. this is kind of like a Declaration in Stone / Plague Wind split card. I love it and will be playing it.
This circumvents hexproof/shroud/indestructible in its overload state, so seems like a very powerful one-sided sweeper combined with a Declaration in Stone/PtE alt-mode. I may try this out.
I feel like this will make my cut in 540. Cyclonic Rift has been great overloaded and this costing 1 less is a huge difference even though it doesn't hit nonceeature permanents.
I feel like this card is a trap. It seems good, but it can absolutely be played around to net themselves mana and rebuy back onto the board in a better way than just playing around a wrath.
I think this card is insane in formats where there are not a ton of basics floating around.

What i’m about to say is not always true, but once your opponent gets to six mana and has a valuable board to kill then he probably won’t get much value from further ramp, while if you play vs a ramp deck and you cast this card without getting some fatty out you’re doing something wrong. There’s also the possibility to solve a board stall and swing for lethal/kill some walkers

FWIW this drawback has been negligible on Settle the Wreckage (which is underrated for large cubes btw). If they do not develop the board for the fear of you having the card, you increase your win percentage significantly anyway, especially since you can keep developing your own board which you cannot do with a wrath. Honestly, with Settle it felt that in many matchups the deck thinning was more important than the ramp they got.
I am a fan of this card and will play it alongside Declaration
Its base mode is much worse than Declaration in Stone early game and vs tokens, but is better late game. The overload is very strong though, pretty cool combination of Path to Exile and Missoula Mortars. I definitely want to test / play it, possibly over Declaration in Stone.
Poor EDH now has to deal with constant Cyclonic Rifts and this now.
I'm not sure this makes the cut at 450, but it demands testing. A 6-mana Plague Wind is bonkers, even with the drawback. In a pinch, you get rid of an early pesky creature. This is pretty pushed.
This card is very exciting and will definitely make it in my 540. Cyclonic Rift overload has been awesome and this costs 1 less (though it only hits creatures).
Early on, this doesn't compare favorably alongside Declaration in Stone, but overall will likely be much better. I'm going to try that swap and hope it goes well.

Maybe the real decision comes down to which decks need access to removal. My white control decks seem to have a plethora of it, whereas my lower to the ground decks don't really want to be playing a turn 3 oblivion ring if they can help it. This card feels really good in control decks where you can overload it for a 1 sided wrath. playing this early in in an aggressive deck feels like it will help your opponent stabilize a little more since it can help them get the mana out to cast what they have in hand. The clue token in declaration in stone isn't that big of a deal in against aggressive decks since the are probably cashing in after you already ran out of gas and will probably lose anyway, or they have no answer and are digging for anything and you are already in a winning position.
I think this card is better than Declaration in Stone. It’s backbreaking against aggro (though the front is pretty bad), and can be used for alphas. Will need to test to confirm, but pretty sure I’m in.

My Cubes - The Busted Cube. A fully functional, almost 100% custom cube. The project started out by asking "What if other colors got cards on the power level of Mana Drain,Ancestral Recall, and Time Walk?" Draft and enjoy!
I think this is a card I'll let other people test. My gut leans to it not being good enough but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
In comparing this to Declaration in stone. Just remember
(1) Your opponent still has to pay 2 to draw that card.
(2) Even if you consider a card drawn better than a land search, About 40% of the time they will still draw a land. And a land in hand is much weaker than a land in play. And Winds lets them easily get a splash color.

Are you talking about overloading and then Armageddon? Because if you are casting this for 6 and playing Armageddon in the same deck, your doing it wrong
Maybe. It's nice to have the 6cc mode in case you flood out, even though the card's playable on 2 mana. Kinda like the graveyard activation on Earthshaker Khenra.

I agree with that, but building a deck around it seems bad. I just wouldn't call it the play of the decade
2-mana sorcery speed creature removal with a downside is terrible in Cube which is why we never liked Declaration in Stone. The upside against tokens is way overstated in our experience.
The upside of this card needs to be significant to make up for the bleh 2-mana mode, and I don’t think a 1-sided, 6-mana path wrath is that great. Alternatively, Settle has played great, but I believe that is mostly due to its spot on the curve.
I think it's probably fine. I honestly don't like asymmetrical sweepers, but I think at a 6 mana overload there shouldn't be too many stalled boards that topdecking this just outright wins you the game that turn. I might give it a shot.
Thoughts? The cc2 mode is not stellar (worse PtE), but the cc6 one is kinda swingy. I feel like this is a cc6 spell with a cc2 failsafe
