Mist-Clan Naga
2U
Creature - Ninja Naga
Ninjutsu 2U (2U, Return an unblocked attacker you control to hand: Put this card onto the battlefield from your hand tapped and attacking.)
Whenever Mist-Clan Naga deals combat damage to a player, create a token that's a copy of Mist-Can Naga.
I actually think this is quite the strong option for blue tempo decks.
Once you get a single hit in off your (hopefully evasive) two drop, your opponent basically has two immediately deal with this via a combination of two blockers and/or removal spells or the Ninjas will snowball out of control.
This creature screams tempo and can scale faster then Rabblemaster and friends. Feels like a bomb in U/x tempo decks and I'm pretty sure I'll be testing it.
EDIT: More thoughts:
In a blue tempo deck you are on the aggressive plan and will be playing cheap and/or evasive beaters and lots of ways to remove blockers. For three mana this guy puts 6 power on the board and threatens to close the game extremely fast. The downside is this is a super bad card to hardcast if you can't set up Ninjutsu. It's also not evasive on it's own so you will definitely have a harder time connecting after the first Ninjutsu assisted hit. I think it will likely play out like a mono blue Geist of Saint Traft. Also, this creature is pretty much only good in blue aggressive decks.
Tempo decks do well in my playgroup and I think my drafters will love this card. I've found these decks can run into the same issue that mono red aggro/burn does in that a lot of your key cards are flexible and get drafted by other players. I already have a couple "tempo only" cards in my blue section to bolster the archetype, like Warsail Marauder, and I can definitely find room for one more.
Totally agree that this is a card that demands help to connect, but once it does the game spirals out of control very quickly. Blue is the one color that has never had access to a Rabblemaster-esque “prevent this cheap creature from getting damage through or it will kill you by itself”. Even though this is less flexible than most of previous ones, it has a ton of potential simply by being blue.
I might try it out. Blue 3's aren't the most exciting spot in my cube and this guy is a beast if he even connects once, and the first hit is probably the easiest to get. I like it has some synergy with ETB dudes, picking up your Ravenous Chupacabra and casting it again next turn to keep the board clear seems like a fun play.
Yea the relevant question in how often will you be able to Ninjutsu early enough in the game for it to be relevant? In tempo decks I think it will work well, but it is a very narrow card for sure.
If you ever connect on turn 3 this card is terrifying. That being said, it asks a bit too much of you for what a high-power-level cube would want for a card like this. I don't plan on adding this to my normal cube, but it is PERFECT for my Combat Cube!
Super cool. Seems like it would require a specialized deck to really take advantage of...
Too narrow for my tastes in blue for but the power feels there.
I’m going to go out on a limb and test this card. Aggressive blue tempo is literally my favorite archetype (to the extend that I still run Serendib Efreet) but often it doesn’t come together in my cube because the pieces are snatched by control decks or random midrange decks running blue. I want a blue card or two that screams “tempo!” and pulls people into the archetype. A scary aggressive early game creature is exactly what I’m looking for.
T2 Looter il-Kor, T3 swing, drop this in seems fun. Maybe not good enough, but fun.

Commandos is a cool archetype. This is a sweet card there. It's decent by itself, but probably not worthwhile in a mainstream sense unless you have a little bit of commando support. Happily, I play cards like Slither Blade, Invisible Stalker, Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive and probably Changeling Outcast.
I think I'm convinced to give this a try, as I always want to get more players on the blue tempo train. This seems pretty gross behind stuff like Looter, Geist, and TNN.
If you can ninjitsu this into play, it's one of the fastest and scariest clocks in Magic. Up there with the top-tier Rabblemasters in terms of clock speed and damage output. But if you have to cast it and attack with it to get it going, it's far more fragile and basically requires a perfectly clear board to do anything. It's probably worth testing if your blue tempo decks are more creature-heavy than spell-heavy. I'll be keeping my eye on this one for sure.

There are matchups the card is quite bad as well.
